The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was founded in 1952 by Pa Josiah Akindayomi, who was born in July 1909 in Ondo State, Nigeria. Although raised among idol worshippers, he sought the true God and was baptized in 1927 before joining the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in 1931. After years of hearing God's call and experiencing failed business ventures, he surrendered his life to God's service. Concerned about unbiblical practices in his church, he established the Glory of God Fellowship, which later became RCCG following a divine revelation of its name and global mission. God covenanted to sustain the church if its members remained faithful. In 1981, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, whom God had revealed as Akindayomi's successor, became General Overseer. Under his leadership, RCCG has grown into a worldwide ministry with thousands of parishes, impacting millions through evangelism, church planting, and the monthly Holy Ghost Service.

In the early 1970s, God revealed to Pa Josiah Akindayomi that his successor would be a young, educated man who was not yet a member of the church. When Enoch Adejare Adeboye, a Mathematics lecturer at the University of Lagos, joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1973, Pa Akindayomi recognized him as the chosen successor.

When Enoch Adejare Adeboye, a Mathematics lecturer at the University of Lagos, joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in 1973, Pa Akindayomi recognized him as the chosen successor. Pastor Adeboye became an interpreter, translating sermons from Yoruba to English, and was ordained a pastor in 1975. Before his death on November 2, 1980, Pa Akindayomi shared with Pastor Adeboye God's covenant and vision for the church. In 1981, Pastor Adeboye assumed leadership, ushering in remarkable growth. RCCG expanded rapidly across Nigeria, establishing thousands of parishes, and spread internationally throughout Africa and Europe. Under Pastor Adeboye's leadership, RCCG has become one of the world's largest Christian denominations, fulfilling its vision of taking the Gospel to every nation.

The Parish started in May 2015 but was officially inaugurated in October 2016 with the purpose of spreading the gospel of Christ, sharing the good news of salvation and transforming lives in the Fayetteville community and beyond through the power of God
