Topic: You and the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ- Part 1

Lessons from the Cross of Christ

Text: Matt 10:38-39 And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.”

Introduction: For the Lord Jesus, the road to the cross was a painful long journey. That journey to the cross was taken because of you and I. It was full of sorrow (Isaiah 53:3); betrayed with a kiss (Luke 22:48); deserted by friends (Matt 26:36-56); denied (Luke 22:57);beaten with whips that has razor blades, spat upon and treated badly (John 19:1)  ridiculed , mocked and laughed at by the soldiers and people (Matt 27:40),etc. Yet, throughout this journey to the cross of Calvary and with all the humiliation, the Lord did not complain, he never opened his mouth His mouth to express regret, anger, bitterness or hatred to the people that are treating Him so badly. In fact, like Stephen (Acts 7:54-60), Jesus prayed for them and asked God the Father to forgive them. What an expression of Love! Think of that for a moment.

Think of what the Cross of Jesus is saying to you this morning. Think about the fact that Jesus did not go to the cross because of Himself, he went because of you and I. The Cross of Jesus teaches us patience, perseverance and love towards and for others. Think of what the Lord wants you to do in that relationship with your husband or wife. God want you to continue to do all you can because of the good that will come from that relationship, now and in the near future. Think of your relationship with other members of the congregation this morning.

The most painful part of the journey to the Cross for the Lord Jesus is when He realized that God the Father turned His back on Jesus when He was hanging on the Cross, that was the only time that Jesus opened His mouth to cry (Matt 27:46). It is easy to bear all the pain, sufferings, betrayals and insults from friends and others you do not have intimate relationship with. But it is most painful when the very ones you loved desert you in the time of trouble when you needed help the most, for example, your wife or husband or even your children, blood brothers and sister etc.

But nevertheless, Jesus went to the Cross because He knew what He wanted to accomplish for you and I. The Lord knew He had to finish the work God the Father gave Him (Heb 10:9) to do thy will oh Lord.  In John 19:30, Jesus declared “it is finished” and then the Lord invited to the cross.

So, what are we saying this morning? The Lord wants you to come to the foot of the Cross so that you can partake fully of the blessings of being on the cross.

Why the did the Lord repeated His earlier call to us in Matt 16:24-25 “ Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it”.

What is the Lord saying here?  He is saying that if you want to be his disciple and have that personal relationship with him you must do the followings:

1: You must deny yourself

2: You must pick up your cross

3: You must follow Him.

When we talk about the Cross of Christ, it not something for decoration, as some people wear it. When you are being invited to come to the foot of the Cross, you are being invited to die. The Cross of Jesus has many benefits, but first, you must be dead before you can resurrect to begin to live and enjoy those benefits. And we know that when you get to the cross, the Blood of Jesus will cleanse you from your sins and you will not go back the way you came.

Lessons from the Cross:

1.     Do not become an enemy of the Cross.

The Bible says that the Cross has many enemies. Why does the Cross have so many enemies? In Philippians 3:17-18 “Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ”. The Bible made it clear that for some people, the Cross is their enemy because their belly is their god, and their glory in in their shame because they mind earthly things. Why is this so? Because the CROSS can demand and take everything you have away from you so that you may live. The story of the rich young man in Mark 10:17-22 illustrate the point we are making  here.

2.     Self must be crucified.

Paul said in Galatians 6:14 that, “But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom[a] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.”

There must be a total crucifixion of you to the cross. In other words, you must get to that stage in your life where you no longer glory or take pride in anything except the Cross. Do not glory in your wisdom, because a professor can become a mad man and become a psychiatric patient. Do not glory in your might, because there is no might except that of God. If you are wealthy, do not glory in your wealth, because the Bible tells us clearly that money can grow wings and fly away at any moment.

3.     You must crucify the Old Man in you.

The world looks for certain things in certain people before they can say the person is successful. For example, the world can determine how wealthy you are by your outfit, the kind of car you drive and by the number of houses you have etc. All these things added together are what the Bible calls: our old man”. You must stop thinking the way the world thinks. Your values must be different from the old values of the world.

Romans 6:6, says that, “knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.” You must come to the Cross and nail your old man to the Cross of Christ. If your old man is not truly crucified-if he only fainted or fell asleep-you are still in trouble, big trouble. If your old is not dead, you had better crucify it to the cross this morning. For example, you may be boasting now and say, “I don’t drink alcohol anymore”. It could be that your old man is sleeping and a sleeping man does not drink. However, if he wakes up, you would discover that he could still drink. Or, you can say, praise God, I don’t commit adultery anymore”. It may be your old man just fainted. If the wind blows on him , and you find yourself in a comfortable situation and there is nobody there except you and your girlfriend or that strange woman or man, you then  suddenly discover that your old man only fainted and he is now back to normal. Or is the old man anger, pride, stubbornness, disobedience etc?

Prayer: Stand on your feet and begin to nail it to the cross of Jesus today, let it die.

4.     Crucify lust and affections.

In Galatians 5:24, the bible says , “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” This is a very serious one. We understand crucifying the lust, but crucifying affections too? Because affection is not a bad thing, it is alright to love your spouse and your children.  However, if you really want to follow and be a solid disciple of Jesus Christ , you have to crucify your affection too. What does this mean? It means that if the Almighty God ask for your son-the one that you love-it will be difficult to say yes, Lord, if you have not crucified your affections. God said to Abraham, “Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and offer him for a sacrifice.” This is what God said to Abraham, God may ask of you the same thing.

Conclusion:

To reap on a daily basis the benefit of an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, you must come to the cross and die to self, lust and affections and permanently crucify the old man in your life to the cross. We are to carry our cross daily because at any moment, the need for crucifixion may arise. God may separate you from everything you have in a moment, which is why it is advisable that you crucify yourself now. Make up your mind from now on that, you are for Christ and Christ alone and that whatever comes does not matter. If you do not decide now, it may be very

Topic: Lessons from the life of the Eagles-The Habitation of the Eagle

Text: Isaiah 40:31

Introduction: There are 2 types of eagles: the Royal Eagle and the Golden Eagle. The Eagle is the king of birds. It is powerful, majestic, has dominion, flies with authority and is extremely strong. The eagle lives on the highest point available in its surrounding. Its nest is on the highest mountains, on the tallest trees on top of the mountains and on the tallest branches of the tallest trees.

There are Christians who love to live in the valley. There are those living halfway on the mountain, they grumble, critics others and never achieve anything for God. The Christian who want to be victorious must learn to live like the eagle-on the very mountain top.

In Psalms 1:1, God refers to Christians who live like the eagle as being blessed:

1.     they will not walk in the counsel of the ungodly

2.     they will not stand in the way od sinners

3.     they will not sit in the seat of the scornful

Where are serious Christians found?

Epsn 2: 1-6 says we are seated together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Not in the valley, not in the clouds, but beyond the clouds in the Heavenly, far above principalities and powers and rulers –Epsn 1:20-21.

The spiritual eagle is never found among unbelievers and those who despise the word of God.  A spiritual Eagle will not be found among fornicator; Plotters; those sharing bad jokes; gossiping and backbiting, because these categories of people are in the valley, and not in the heavenly. Also, you will never find a nest higher than that of an eagle, because nobody builds a house higher than that of a king. Can you have two white houses in Washington DC? In the olden days, no matter how rich a man may be, he cannot build a palace, only the king can build a palace,

Reasons why the Eagle lives on high mountains:

1.     It is the king of birds and it must therefore be higher than other birds, and must be able to look down on them because the Eagle has dominion. You are a royalty, a king- Rev 1:4-6. Every true Christian who has been washed in the Blood of the Lamb has become a royalty. You and I are kings because Jesus made us kings and if we are kings, then we must behave and live like kings. We cannot be found in the valley of life. In fact, God declared that we are royalty-1 Peter 2:9, God said we are royalty.

Prayer: Father, from today , I claim my royalty among the people of this nation and if I have lost it by accident, sin or by the wicked works of the forces of darkness, I reclaim my royalty by fire of the Holy Spirit today IJN.

 2.     A mountain is a place of victory-2Kings 1: 9-10; Elijah and the soldiers sent to arrest him. In 1Kgs 18, Elijah deliberately choose Mount Carmel for the confrontation between him and the prophets of Baal. Men of God are the only ones who belong on the mountain tops. But when Elijah came down to the valley, he came to the same level as Jezebel-with witches and wizards-so they tormented him as they liked. This is why you must stay on the mountain top.

Prayer: Father, take me to the mountain top, keep me on the mountain top, don’t ever let me go down to the valley of life , lift me higher than my enemies and every circumstances of life IJN.

 3.     A mountain is a place to get help in time of trouble –Ex 17:8-15, the Bible says that when the Amalekites came to attack Israel, the first thing Moses said he would do is to go to the mountaintop. He knew it would be easier to receive help from above; from the mountaintop. You cannot help anyone that you are not higher than; you have to be higher than someone before you can lift him up.  And God granted victory to Israel over the Amalekites on that day.

PrayerFather, grant me victory over every challenges of my life: Marriage, finances, work place and career wise, peace, joy and general progress in life IJN. Do it for me as you did for Moses and other children of God.

 4.     You can have closer contact with God on the mountaintop-In 2 Kings 4:25-37, Elisha was on the mountaintop when the Shunammite woman came to tell the man of God that her only son was dead. What was Elisha doing on the mountaintop alone? He was meditating on the Word of God. And it was not long before a miracle came to the Shunammite woman. God will bring you a miracle today over that issue in your life IJN. In Psalms 121:1-2; David said:  I lift up my eyes to the mountains, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth

There is something here about the hills and the God. David is saying that you will not find the Lord crawling in the valley; you are likely to see Him seated majestically on the mountain top. As a spiritual eagle, you must be spiritually high. You must keep doing whatever gets you to your spiritual height. For some Christians, singing takes them to spiritual heights, for others it is fasting and meditating on the word of God, and yet for others it is praying in tongues for a season. You must stay on the mountain top, do not negotiate your way down to the valley

5.     There is divine security on the mountaintop-Psalms 91:1 says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Stay permanently on the mountaintop. That is where the eagle lives. Do not go down to the valley where the hunter-the devil-can get you. That is why it is not easy to catch or kill an eagle. Stay on the mountaintop.

6.     There are showers of blessings on the mountain top- The Psalmist declared in Psalms 23:6 that, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell[a] in the house of the Lord forever.”

The Lord does live in the valley. He lives in the mountaintop. So, if you want goodness and mercy to follow you all the days of your life, live where the eagles live-on mountain tops.

Lazy people do not climb mountains and lazy birds do not fly high and this is why the hunters get them easily. For example, if you look closely at the turkey, you will find that it does not fly. It is big and fat and it is always found in the valley. This is why it whenever you want to kill a turkey, you just grab one. If you want to kill an eagle for whatever reason, you will have to work very hard, because it will not stay where you can reach it easily. Likewise, you should not stay where the enemy can reach you easily. Get to the mountaintop and stay there IJN.  Prayer: Father, from today, I am beyond the reach of my enemies, I am beyond the reach of poverty; sorrow, afflictions and oppression of the enemies, I triumphs always in IJN

Conclusion:

For you to live a triumphant and victorious life, you must think, act, and live like the Royal Eagle. You must eat the right type of food-the living word of God found in the Bible, to have the kind of strength it takes to climb the mountaintop and remain there and reign by exercising dominion and authority. To be spiritually high, you must live a life of purity and humility. Jesus Christ is the word of God. Therefore you must eat the Word and meditate on it day and night. When you drink, drink the word of God, when you sing, sing the word and you will have life of God in you.

Topic: A Christian Fights Like An Eagle

Text: Isaiah 40:31

Introduction: There are 2 types of eagles: the Royal Eagle and the Golden Eagle. The Eagle is the king of birds. It is powerful, majestic, has dominion, flies with authority and is extremely strong. The eagle builds its nest on the highest mountains, on the tallest trees on top of the mountains and on the tallest branches of the tallest trees. This is why is never easy to catch or kill an eagle. However, the eagle has only one enemy, the snake. Why, because, the snake likes to eat the eagle’s egg, that is why despite the eagle having built its nest high on the tallest tree branches, the snake will still creep up to it to try to eat the eagle’s eggs.

Just like the eagle, the number one enemy of the Christian is the devil. Like the snake, the devil would wait until your eggs are laid and would want to attack just when your eggs are about to hatch and when you are about to get the reward of your labor.

The eagle has two ways of dealing with the serpent. One is by pecking it to death. The eagle will keep on pecking at the serpents head, flying away and flying back to peck at it until its head becomes a bloody mass. How can a Christian peck at the head of Satan, just like Jesus did during the temptation in the wilderness after Jesus had fasted and prayed for 40 days and nights-by pecking with the Word of God.

In Matthew 4:3-4 the Devil asked Jesus to turn stones to bread. What was the Lord response? Jesus pecked at Satan with the Word of God, saying, "it is written"

Then the devil tried to peck at Jesus the second time with the word of God too, but then he quoted Psalms 91 wrongly. Again, the Lord Jesus replied, "it is written." The third time from Matt 8-10, the devil tried again, but Jesus said, "it is written." Jesus was able to defeat Satan through the word of God by frustrating all his antics and attacks to derail His mission to save you and I souls from death and Hell.

But how then can you say "it is written", if you do not know the word of God? This why is it important for the Christian to eat the word of God and memorize it so that when the enemy comes to attack, you can pull out the treasure of Gods words from within and say “it is written.”

1.     So when the enemy tries to bring sickness into your body , you replied…it is written

2.     When Satan tries to attack your finances, your reply…it is written

3.     When the enemy tried to put you down, you replied…it is written.

4.     When the devil tries to attack your children or deprive you of your joy, you should reply…it is written

The eagle never eats anything dead or that dies of itself. It eats only what it kills by itself. That is why the eagle is very strong and can soar in the skies.  Like the eagle that eats only live animals, the Christians must eat the word of God daily. The word of God is the only food that is alive. Jesus says in John 6:63, “ it is the spirit that quickens, the flesh profit nothing; the words that I speak to you , they are spirit and they are life.”

James 4:7 says “submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil , and he will flee from you.”

The true word of God is settled forever. I am sure some of us would be wondering why the devil does not seem to be fleeing from you after submitting to God and resisting the devil. The devil is like a stubborn goat. The secret of dealing with the devil is found in 1 Peter 5: 8-9 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

The second way that the eagle deals with the serpent is by picking the serpent by the neck with its beak and flying with it until it spots a rock below. When the eagle spots the rock, it drops the serpent, knowing that the serpent will be broken to pieces as soon as it hits the rock.

1 Cor 10:4 says  “And all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ” . The Bible talks about a rock that if you fall on it , you will break. If that rock falls on you, it will grind you to powder. That Rock is the Lord Jesus Christ .So, in the same way, the Christian is supposed to pick up the devil by the neck and drop him on the Rock of Ages. And that would be the end of the matter.

Psalms 46:1-2 says, “ God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed,And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea”

So when trouble comes and you find that pecking might not solve the problem, then you do what the eagle does-drop your enemy on the Rock of Ages, the Lord Jesus Christ.

In Jude 9, When the angel Michael and the Devil came face to face, Michael said, The Lord rebuke thee “  Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!

In other words, don’t argue with the devil, don’t struggle with him, just drop him or that problem on the Rock of Ages. This is a very powerful way of dealing with the enemy. Phill 2:9-10 says “ Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth”

Psalms 44:5 says “Through You we will push down our enemies; Through Your name we will trample those who rise up against us.” In 1 Sam 17:45, David said to Goliath “…I come against thee in the name of the Lord…”, that same day , he saw the end of Goliath. I pray that from today you will see the end of every goliath in your life in Jesus name.

Psalm 20: 1-2 says, “May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of Jacob defend you; May He send you help from the sanctuary”   And verse Psalms 20:7-8 declares that “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the Lord our God.8 They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright.

Conclusion:

To knock down the devil, to silence the enemy permanently, you need the name of the Rock of Ages. When you have been jabbing and jabbing and you are tired of jabbing; then declare that “THE LORD REBUKE YOU. Just drop the enemy on the rock of Ages, Jesus Christ. Begin to pray now

Sermon Delivered By Pastor Folorunsho Omogbehin On Sunday 12 March 2017

Topic: One Visitation by God

Text:  Judges 6:11-16

Introduction: The sufferings of the people under the oppression of their enemies. The cause was sin and their disobedience to the commandments of God. Many people are presently living under the demonic influences and oppression of the devil. However, not everyone is guilty, yet because of the severity of the sinful conduct of the majority and leaders, the sin and punishment of the majority is likely to affect the righteous ones. The bible says that when the ungodly rule, the people groan under various types of hardship and oppression. Yet, because of the few righteous, God will remember His promises; visit His people when they cry to him for help. After they had realized their mistakes, of course! The Bible talks about God as a compassionate father, mighty in power and full of mercies and kindness.

When God determines that it is time to end your sufferings, he will not only remember his covenant promises, but will take steps to rescue such a son and or a daughter.

In the story we have just read, God decided to visit his people through Gideon.

When God visits you, certain things are inevitably bound to happen:

1.     When God visits, the first thing he does to put an end to your fruitless labors and you begin to reap every single rewards of the labor of your hands. No longer will the enemy eat your blessings. For example, there are people who will work all month, only to spend their salaries on looking for cure for their sickness or to settle police and court cases or one type of trouble or the other just shows up. To many people, they may fail to realize this until it became too late. Ask the woman with the issue of blood, the Bible says that she spent all of her money on physicians until she became broke Luke 8:43-48. In Judges 6:2-6, the Bibles described the living conditions of the people and Gideon such that every time they sowed and planted their fields, the Midianites will wauit until when it is harvest time, then they show up and eat and destroyed what they cannot take with them. It was so bad that they people became impoverished and malnourished. Prayer point: Father, deliver my finances from the hands of my enemies. I will eat the labor of my hands; no more financial loses in my life any more IJN.

 2.     There will be an unprecedented change and transformation in the life of that fellow. For example, we read that Gideon and the people were living in caves, hiding from the Midianites when they should be displaying openly the glory of God in their lives. They became so fearful that cowardice became their second name. Gideon was living in defeat without even putting up any form of resistance. We like Gideon, accept easily the attacks of sicknesses in our bodies; some allow poverty, demonic oppression and satanic influences to dominate and control our lives, we are fearful of what tomorrow might be and allow the fear of doubt to paralyses us from moving forward, some accept a life of stagnation in their careers etc

 3.     When God visits, the courage to confront the enemy of your destiny is given to you by God. (Judges 6:33-34) It takes the backing and support of the Almighty God for a person to summon that kind of courage to confront entrenched enemies and principalities and power of darkness that had been oppression that fellow. I was determined after being sick for almost two years moving from one doctor and hospital to the other. I just told my mother that enough is enough. I am going to take off all these clothes, put on a singlet and go outside after I told God. I said, told if I don’t die of fever and cold, then I will not die again. And that was the end of the suffering.

 4.     When God visits you, not only is courage given to you to confront the enemies of your destiny, but God will go further to place the fear and dread of your name in the hearts of your enemies. Judges 7: 12-14. Why will God take this extra step? So, that even when they are ready and preparing to attack you, the mere mention of your name will weaken their resole and ability to fight and resist you. The Bible says in Ezekiel 7:17, that God will make the hands of your enemies feeble, And their  knee will be as weak as water. Prayer point.

5.     When God visits he transforms a coward into a national hero and deliverer of his people. God makes an insignificant man into a person celebrated nationally and honorable before the people. In Judges 8: 28. God brought peace, prosperity and security to the Israelites for 40 years. God turned their oppressors into their servants and slaves. Prayer point: Father, turn around my insignificance from today and make everything that has been harassing my life my servants IJN.

 6.     When God visits, God brings isolation, rejection and depression in your life to a permanent end. When things are not going well with a fellow, friends, society and even family members may desert you. Ask the mad man of Gadarene-Mark 5:1-3 “Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him,[b] not even with chains” or ask the leper in  Mark 1:40-45 and the TEN lepers in Luke 17:11-19, 11 “Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off. And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” Prayer point: Father, from today, bring every form of isolation, societal rejection to an end. I command every spirit behind the evil thoughts of depression to leave my life in IJN

 7.     When God visits you, unproductive and destructive habits and attitudes are destroyed. There are people who just indulge in some habits that they cannot explain or control. They want to stop, yet there seems to be force or power that is controlling their actions. Illustrate with a story of chain smoking that was dropped through the power of God. In Mark 5: 4-5, the Bible described the habits of the mad man of Gadara inflicting so much pain on himself “because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.

8.     Prayer point: Father, deliver me from any habitual destructive habits in my life. Give me the power to overcome any forces behind any habit in my life that is bringing me pains and sufferings and setbacks in life IJN

 9.     Finally, when God visits, desperation is replaced with hope and confidence for the future. The essence and purpose for living is released for manifestation. The Gadarene destiny has been locked up for many years by the demonic powers working in his life. He was deprived of the blessings and glory that God had assigned to him from when he was born. The Bible says in Psalms 8:4-5, that “What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?  For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.” God has created every person with a measure of glory and honor. But the enemy has often cheated many people of this blessing.  Prayer point: Father, from today, I reclaim my blessings, glory and honor that you had given unto me from the very day I was born and refuse to allow the enemy to mess with my life an destiny IJN

Conclusion: Those who want the Almighty God to settle their cases and wipe out tears from their eyes must do certain things:

1.     The person must cry out to God for help. Our text, the Bible says that the people of Israel cried out and God responded.

2.     The person must not just ask for help, they must be willingly to obey the instructions of God from that moment onward-Gideon was asked to throw down the alter and image of Baal and he did

3.     The person must forsake their sinful ways of life and return fully back to God

4.     The person must be prepared to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and savior. You must be genuinely and truly born again

5.     And finally, the person must worship the lord –The Gadarene worshipped and was delivered.

Let rise now praise and worship the Almighty God in Jesus name.

Sermon Delivered By Pastor Folorunsho Nicholas Omogbehin On Sunday March 05, 2017

Topic: The Power of Giving

Text: Proverbs 11:24; Luke 6:38

There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. Prov 11:24

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6:38

These scriptures have been interpreted solely from the point of view of giving of money, paying tithes and offerings etc. Yes, God commanded you as a believer to do this so that you can prosper and become a blessing. God will drive away strangers from your finance and homes, e.g. sickness, police cases, unnecessary tickets, court cases and all manner of unprofitable spending etc. But that is not what I want to talk about this morning.

What can you give?

You can give your time-e.g. helping others with their school work, providing advice and coaching etc

You can show hospitality to people you may not know very intimately

You can sow love into the lives of others so generously to the point to giving your life-Jonathan and David

You can share your home with those in need of shelter

You can share your food with others and yet be blessed.

You can sow your life into others by and gain the crown of life

The giving must be from the heart, willingly and sacrificially. The Bible talks about God looking at the intent of your action and not the action itself- In Proverbs 21:2, the Bible says that, “ Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts. Therefore, whatever you do, let your motive and intent be right and just.

What happen to the person that scatters and give sacrificially?

When you sow love, genuine love into the lives of others, your children will reap love and kindness, because your love has gone into the future to speak for your children’s destiny-The story of Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan -2 Sam 9:1-8

When you scatters or give hospitality to others, even strangers, the prayers of many can be answered by God in one single- Abraham and Sarah’s barrenness of 25 years was answered after the Angels had eaten of the meal Abraham gave them- God eats food you know- Gen 18:1-8-the key words-hasten, ran to prepare the meal, a sense of urgency and genuine hospitality.

When you give willingly, God will give you abundance in return and sustain your life. In 1 Kgs 17:8-15, the Bible says that she was to eat her last meal with her son and die. But when she gave out of that little she had, God did the miraculous in her life and throughout the 3½ years of famine, she never knew poverty, hunger and suffering from that day. You shall never know poverty from today IJN

When you give of what you have sacrificially and generously, God will protect your source of joy. God will never allow your source of joy to die. God will not allow you to be isolated and fall into depression. In 1 Kgs 17: 17-24–the enemy wanted to take the only son of the widow of Zarephath, the same woman that has just received her miracle of sustenance from poverty and hunger, the woman that fed Elijah the man of God. Jn 10:10 talks about the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, But God has the upper hand. Praise God. God will give you complete restoration of every losses you have suffered IJN

When you give of what you have sacrificially and generously, God will ensure that your enemies and strangers will not take over what you have labored and worked hard to get. God will guarantee that you do not labor in vain. In 2 kings 4: 8-20, 37, the acts of kindness of the shunamite woman guarantees that she did not die without an heir to inherit her wealth. Because the Bible says that she was wealthy and her husband is old. But she was lacking something which every woman desires-a child. She and her husband had given up any hope of having a child. In fact, when asked, she said she needed nothing. It was Elisha servant that said she had no child. Her hospitality to the man of God brought answers to her prayers unexpectedly. God will answer your prayers unexpectedly today IJN.

The person who love freely, live in peace and harmony with God. In John 3:16,the Almighty God set the standard by giving His only begotten son Jesus for I and your sins to save our souls from going to hell. We are to sow the seed of the gospel into the lives of others as well so that we may obtain the crown of life (James 1:13; Rev 2:10) Jesus say in Matt 16:25, he that saves his life will lose it and the person that lose his life for the sake of the kingdom will find it. God says in Prov. 11:30 that he that wins souls is wise. Be wise

Conclusion: There is great gain in the power of sacrificial giving. The can only be given by the Holy Spirit of God working in our hearts. The Bible says in Jeremiah 17: 9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? The reason people find it difficult to their love, time, material possession, home etc is because the love of God is absent in their hearts and they believe on the world system rather than God.

Prayers:

Father, release the power of sacrificial giving upon me IJN

Father, fill me with me your Holy Spirit and power as you did for Jesus and be with me from today until I return to you in heaven in IJN

Father, I reject the system of the world, I embrace your love in my heart and I live in peace and harmony with you IJN

Topic: Treasure In Earthen Vessels

Text: 2 Corinthians 4:7

The earthen vessels is a container to preserve treasures; a springboard for the treasure to manifest its real essence, beauty and power etc. The treasure is YOU, full of beauty, goodness, glory, and power, unlimited potentials, wonderfully and fearfully made.

The vessel can be tested and tried in so many ways. These tests and trials htake place in order to bring out the treasures in it.

By sickness-the woman with the issue of blood- In Luke 8:43-48

By tribulations, hunger and thirst-(Matt 4:3) Jesus in the wilderness- (2 Corinthians 11:25) Paul’s experiences

By doubts and failures-David in Ziklag –I Sam 30:1-6-All of their materials wealth and families were taken away and they wept until there was no more strength in them, but they thought to stone David and blamed him for everything!

By societal pressure, not measuring up in life, lack of progress-Jabez 1 Chron 4:9-10-“ his mother called his name Jabez, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested”

What are in the earthen vessel?

Life is the essence of the vessel, a life that cannot be destroyed, a living organism-John 10:10- I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly and John 7:38”He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

The vessel is resilient-the ability to bounce back from any set back- Acts 14:19-20 Paul refused to be deterred by the physical beatings and continued his mission to preach the gospel and set up churches in Asia.-The application. The vessel has the ability to refuse defeat

The vessel does not have room for sickness-

The vessel does not accommodate financial stagnation or poverty-Isaac continued to dig the wells until his prosperity breaks forth-Gen 26:18-22

The vessel is made for greatness, to have dominion, success and prosperity-Abraham-Gen 17:2 “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.

Conclusion:

Keys to the treasure:

Your attitude to life and self-awareness-Prov 23:7 “as man thinks in his heart, so is he” In Num 14:38, Caleb and Joshua thought in their minds that they can enter and possess the Promised Land and they did. God replied in Num 14: 28 ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you” In Luke 8:43-48, The woman with the issue of blood suffering for 18 years saw herself being healed if she could touch the helm of the garment of Jesus and she did.

Abide In the Lord Jesus Christ, the source of life -John 15:5-7

Prayers:

1. In Isaiah 64:8, Almighty God, you are my Father, build me into the great person you want me to be IJN

2. In 2 Corinthians 4:7, let the Excellency of the power of God begin to manifest in

my life to the glory of God. Oh Lord, I may be small in the eyes of the world, but make me great and mighty in your hands;

3. Father, I may appear weak, but make me mightily strong, make my inner strength to show forth from today. I refuse to be down and stay down; I rebound, I move and press forward until I get victory IJN.

4. Father prepare me for great and mighty works and victories from today IJN

Topic: Walk before God: God offer of partnership.

Text: Gen 17:1-8

God offered Abraham a new deal and partnership so that he can be truly blessed and made great in life. The eyes of the Almighty God are on His Covenant Promise made to Abraham when He first spoke to him in Gen 12:1-2. Elaborate on the promise.

Verse 2: And I will make My covenant between Me and you. God’s relationship with you is personal and special, without a third party.

B. God will multiply you exceedingly. In other words, whatever material and financial blessings you could think of, God said he will give it you. Reason: He owns everything on the earth; he made everything and will give it to whomever He wills.

In Gen 17:1-8, God made a series of promises that this new partnership will bring to Abraham and those who will accept this offer this morning.

Verse 4: …and you shall be a father of many nations. It means that you will be known in your community, city, nation and all over the world. You will no longer live as an insignificant, inconsequential fellow just going through the motions of life. God will advertise your usefulness and importance IJN.

Verse 5: No longer shall your name be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many nations. In other words, God will change your status; give you a new name that will never fade away in the memory of men. God will make you forever relevant in the affairs of men. Your new name will no longer bring shame and dishonor, but respect and favor.

Verse 6: I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. God will not just make you fruitful in your health, finances, spiritually and materially, but exceedingly fruitful that you will have more than enough to help others in need. IJN

Verse 7: And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. In other words, God’s

relationship will continue with your children, even after you have gone to be with him in heaven. God will not cut off your children in this new partnership He did with other people IJN.

Verse 8: Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” In other words, God promised to protect your children so that they can continue to enjoy the inheritance you will live for them. They will never taste the kind of sufferings, hardships and pains you have experienced in life IJN.

Like most of us, Abraham lived in partial obedience and did things his own way until God spoke to him in (Gen 17). For example, instead of remaining in the land of Canaan, Abraham went into Egypt for economic survival; instead of waiting for God to fulfill his promise to give him a son, he succumbed to the plan of the enemy through his wife Sarah to have Ismael through the maid, Hagar; instead of going into Canaan with his wife, Abraham took his nephew Lot with him, a spiritual attachment that caused distraction, pain and almost disaffection between them.

But our God is merciful, full of compassion, kindness, goodness and will never forsake us nor break His promises to us. So, after Abraham had tried everything by his power and failed, God then appeared to him and made him this proposition to WALK BEFORE ME AND BE PERFECT. God is offering the same deal to you this morning if you will accept it.

Why is God still interested in the life of Abraham and yours? Because, God is our father; He loved us: He created you in His image and likeness and God want you to prosper and fulfill your destiny.

What happens when you agree to walk before God?

You will always be in the view of God and He will always have His eyes on you-2 Chron 16:9 “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him”

When God has his eyes on you, you can be sure of His protection; blessings; support; honor; encouragement, sound health; unlimited favor and continuous victory over all challenges of life etc Psalms 121:5-8; Ps 91:1-3; Is 49:16; Psalm 84:11 “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk upright”

He will guide you and order your steps into good success. God can give you all the riches you ever want in life: health, promotion, breakthrough victory over every situations

But here are the conditions of the deal, the partnership:

You must walk perfectly before him:

You must be in total agreement with God-Amos 3:3 can two walk together….

You must love God with all your heart, might and strength (Deut 6:5) and be able to say what Paul said in Phill 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain”

You must trust him completely, without reservation, without a plan B. You must not trust in your own abilities, strength and intellect. You must rely on God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit completely. No more playing games with God.

No more half obedience to God. You must obey him totally and fully; in the payment of your tithes, offerings, your service, worship and praise and soul winning. No more little tricks that you play when nobody is watching you must do away with them. Stop insulting the intelligence of God; He is the greatest mathematician on earth.

No more attachments that God has not connected with you when He called you. Separate yourself from things that will hinder the move of God in your life-enemies that pretends to be friends; people who will not openly identify with you as a Christian but will secretly commend you for your Christian virtues etc. Abraham took Lot with him, when God did not ask him to. Until Lot separated from Abraham, did he begin to enjoy the blessings of God.

Your submission must be totally such that if God ask for the thing you treasure most, you must be willingly to give up to God-Gen 22:1-18 God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son. We know the end of the story. God will test your commitment and obedience to Him. And when you pass the test, your road to greatness will never stop; neither can any person or power of darkness stop the blessings of God from manifesting in your life.

You must be willingly to let God be the senior partner and you the

junior. You must allow Him to take all the glory for the success and greatness God will give you. To be a junior partner means that you must allow God to be in control of your life and everything. Control is a word most us don’t like. No one likes to be controlled. By nature, we are born rebellious. But why would God want to be in control of your life in the partnership? Why would God want to impose limitations on you? The reason is to shield you from some type of pain, anguish and sufferings. There are two types of pains:

(1)-unavoidable pain that comes with a blessing, for example, a woman must go through child birth pain during labor.

(2) Avoidable pains that is the consequences of our disobedience to God. Many of us in the past had suffered terrible pains, sufferings and sorrows in the past because of the decisions and steps we have taken. Prayer: form today, you shall not take decisions that will bring pain and sufferings into your life IJN. Any plan of the enemy to inflict pain into your life, God shall frustrate that plan in Jesus name.

No more lukewarm attitude to God, no more half measures. If you want to praise God, praise Him wholeheartedly and with abandon until the next person sitting beside you ask whether you are alright. Tell the fellow to relocate if he/she is uncomfortable in the way you dance and praise God.

Finally, the reason why God asked Abraham and you if you accept the deal is that you do not walk behind God. In Matt 16:23, Jesus told Satan to get behind Him. Behind is where the devil as a roaring loin stays to steal, kill and destroy those who are not walking before God.

Conclusion:

The choice this morning is yours to make: You want your life to change and become somebody great in life, joyful and successful, then I challenge you to take the offer of God and watch Him transform your life and change your story form a life of struggle to peace; sorrow to joy; pain and crying to sound health and laughter; poverty to riches and financial security and from demonic oppression to a terror to your enemies.

Let us begin to pray to God NOW.

Topic: When God visits?

Text: Gen 18:1-8

Last week we discussed about fellowshipping with God in worship, in praise and in prayers. When we fellowship with God in the proper way, we find that everything good can happen to us and everything bad can happen to your enemies. For example, we know that when we fellowship with God and bring down His Presence into our lives, your enemies will not only prostrate, but they shall be broken into pieces. Not only will they be broken, they will frighten out of their hiding places in your life and if an enemy remains stubborn, then God say He will destroy them completely.

But it is one thing to visit God through worship and praise, but it is another thing for you to worship God so intensely that God decides to visit you.

Paraphrase the visit of the Angels and God and Abraham’s response and offerings that was accepted. Consequently, the following six things happened:

Six things happen when God pays you a visit:

Your offerings will be accepted. Not all offerings and the person who brings offerings are acceptable by God. God can reject both. Cain and Abel illustrate this fact (Gen 4:3-5). So we should rejoice when God accepts your offerings. In Acts 10:1-4, Cornelius offerings were accepted and God brought it into memory. God will remember all of your offerings and on the basis of that bless you mightily IJN.

Long awaited promises will be fulfilled when God pays you a single visit. As far as God is concerned, it does not take Him a year to perform a miracle. He can do it right now as we seat. In Gen 18:12-14, the sorrow, the frustrations and hopelessness of Abraham and Sarah was suddenly turned to laughter. Sorrow and hopelessness are replaced with laughter whenever God visits. The Almighty God will turn every sorrow and frustrations of your life to joy and laughter IJN.

There will be laughter in your home. In Gen 21:3,6, a son was born and he was given the name Isaac. The name means laughter. Your laughter will be perpetual when God visits your home. Imagine you you’re your

child laughter, which means that whenever you call on your child, you are actually calling on laughter. Laughter will cease in your home IJN

Future secrets will be revealed to you when God visits you. In Gen 18:17-19, God revealed what was about to happen to Abraham. When God pays you a visit, you do not need to worry about the future, because God will tell you the things that are yet to happen. It is a great advantage to have God showing you things to come before they happen. Imagine God telling you not to pass through a particular route as you go to work, school or the mall, just because He knows what lies ahead of you. God will reveal secrets to you from today IJN.

Prayer becomes a mere discussion. In Gen 18:23-33, when God is with you, you just talk. When you are beside a friend, you talk. Abraham was actually praying and begging God to spare Sodom and Gomorrah.

You will know the result of your prayers immediately. When God visits you, He will respond to you as you discuss with Him as Abraham did in Gen 18:23-33. God will give you immediate answers from today as He visits you daily IJN.

What must you do to have God visit you from today?

You must be born again and have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior

You must stay away from anything that will make God annoyed with you-stay away from sin and sinful lifestyles

You must serve Him in Spirit and in Truth

You must have faith in Him and trust him completely

You must have genuine fellowship with God through the Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Songs:

How excellent is your name oh Lord

Be thou exalted oh Lord above the heavens

We give you glory Lord as we honor you

Topic: Fellowship between God and Man

Text: 1 Sam 5:1-3; Exodus 25:17-20

What is fellowship? Fellowship is meeting with another person for the joy and love you have for that person. It is different from visiting a person, a temporary time you spend together. Fellowship is deeper than mere visitations. Fellowship implies that you enjoy the presence of the other person. In fellowship, you hold a conversation, a dialogue, not a monologue. You make physical contacts such as shaking of hands, sharing a hug and kissing is they are married. When real friends fellowship, there will be exchange of gifts and a strengthening of the fellowship.

Reasons for fellowship:

One of the main reasons for the creation of man is God’s desire for fellowship (Gen 1:26). The Bible says that God always came down every day in the cool of the day to fellowship with Adam and Eve just to discuss with them and find out what else they might need (Gen 3:8-9).

There is something that yearns for fellowship within every person. Nobody really wants to be alone, except that person is sick or mentally deranged. Nobody is really comfortable being alone. Everyone wants fellowship. This is why God said in Gen 2:18 “And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him”.

There is constant invitation from the Almighty God to you to come and fellowship with Him. In Matt 11:28, Jesus says “come unto me , all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” –An invitation to come and rest.

In John 7:37, the Bible says, “On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink”.-An invitation to come and drink.

In Isaiah 1:18, the Bible says, “come now, and let us reason together…”In other words, God is telling you, “come, let us chat, let us gist, let us discuss-This is the invitation to Fellowship: Come And Rest; Come And Drink, Come And Chat”

The enemy fears your fellowship with God. That is why the devil will do

everything possible to break your fellowship with God. (Gen 3:4-5, 8-9).

The Devil has managed to reduce the fellowship between God and man to a begging session. We go to the presence of God only when we are in need and then we spend the whole time before God saying, give me this, give me that etc. if you go to God as a beggar, you are likely to be treated as a beggar. You need real discussion when you are in the presence of God.

What happens when you fellowship with God.

When a person fellowships with God in the proper way, the presence of God comes down. And whenever the presence of God comes down, you can be sure that many things miraculous will happen in your life.

Your enemy will prostrate before you: In 1 Sam 5:1-3, the philistines took the Ark of God from the children of Israel and took it to the house of their god-Dagon. The Ark of the Covenant represents the Presence of the Almighty God and wherever the ark of God is, God is there also. Explain the Ark of the Covenant (Ex 25:17-20). Dagon represents Satan and when the Philistines took God into the presence of Satan, they found Satan lying prostrate when they woke up in the morning. Whenever you begin to fellowship with God and you allow the Trinity into your home, your situation, life, career and or business, the devil that was there before is bound to prostrate.

Satan will bow and be broken into pieces: When you fellowship with God correctly, not only will Satan lie prostrate before you, but he will be broken into pieces (I Sam 5:4-5) and everything satanic in your life will be destroyed today in Jesus name.

Your enemies will fade away: if you are being held captive by demonic powers and you are not aware of it, you will realize that something is wrong somewhere. You may also notice that you are not doing the things you want to be doing. For example, you want to work for God, but you cannot. You want to live a holy life, but you are failing. What is happening? There must be some hidden forces. Bring into your life the Almighty God through the proper fellowship and all these hidden demonic forces will vanish. In 2 Sam 22: 45-47, all forces of darkness will be frightened out of their hiding places when you bring in the presence of God.

Your strength will be renewed: Isaiah 40:29, 31, says that the strength of God will replace your weakness when you bring in the presence of God into

your life. God exchanges HIS strength with that of those who wait upon Him.

God will fight your battles for you: When you fellowship genuinely with God, He will fight your battles for you by bringing problems to the camp of your enemy. There will be problems for all your enemies. The Ark of Covenant represents the presence of God and you fellowship with God, you bring the Ark of Covenant of God into your home and your life figuratively by faith. There will be big troubles for your enemies. I Sam 5:6-10

Your enemies will be frightened. In 1 Sam 4:3-8, when the Ark of the Covenant was brought back into the camp of the Israelites, they shouted unto God with a loud voice of triumph and the ground shook. When the enemies heard, they were frightened and cried. When you bring in God through fellowship, your enemies are frightened because they know there is trouble.

Your enemies will be destroyed. 1 Sam 6-19-20. Any demon that follows you into the presence of God by mistake is finished, just like the men of Bethshemesh who looked into the Ark of God and died by the thousands. When you worship the Almighty God, demons will vanish and they will perish completely IJN.

In 2 Chron 20:22-23, when Jehoshaphat was going to war against 3 Kings, God told him to ask the choir to sing and they began to fellowship with the Almighty God. You know the rest of the story. There enemies destroyed themselves. The same thing can happen and will begin to happen as we begin to sing praises and thanks giving to God.

There will be multiple blessings: When you prosper in your career, business and finances, the devil knows that you will be able to support and help promote the work of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. You can win the war for prosperity by fellowshipping with the God the way you should. In the story of Jehoshaphat (2 Chron 20:24-26) we learn that after his enemies destroyed themselves, it took Jehoshaphat army three days to carry away the gold and silver they picked from the bodies of their enemies. If you fellowship with and worship God the way you should, God will pour out a blessings on you that it will take 3 days for the bank and teller to count your money. In other words, the bank will shut down for three days just to attend to you.

What must I do to have true fellowship with God and bring down His

presence into my life?

You must be born again and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior

You must stay away from committing willful sins and sinful lifestyles

You must live in obedience to His word and commandments

You must serve Him in Spirit and in Truth

You must live a holy life and be perfect before God

You must have faith in Him and trust him completely

You must befriend the Holy Spirit, the power of God

You must seek to have genuine fellowship with God through the Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

Conclusion:

From today let us learn change our attitude. Let us change our prayers from asking to fellowshipping with God. Let us praise and worship God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit with fervency and fire in in our soul and hearts and with our entire mind and the mighty move of God in our lives.

Closing Songs:

I will enter His Gates with thanksgiving in my heart , I will enter his courts with praise….

Do something new in my life, something new in my life oh Lord

You are great; yes you are Oh Lord, Holy One, Walked upon the sea, Raise the Dead

The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice; let the earth rejoice and let the people be Glad, our Lord Reigns

How excellent is your name oh Lord …

Topic: What type of choice will you make?

Text: Matt 27:15-15

Introduction:

God did not create us as a robot; He gave us the free will to make a choice in every areas of our life. In Deut 30:19 “I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live”. In Isaiah 1:18, God invited us to discuss our issues and choice before Him. In Matt 11:28-29, Jesus gave us the choice to accept or reject His offer of salvation and rest for our souls and in Rev 3:30 Jesus said that He stands at the door of your heart, if you will open, He will come in to you.

The choices we make can have a personal effect for either good or bad. The choice can also have effects on people that are immediately close or related to us, who may be completely innocent of our actions. Yet, our actions can affect generations to come after us.

Choices with personal repercussions:

Adam: Gen 2:16-17 -God commanded Adam concerning the Garden of Eden- Adam choice resulted in his expulsion from the Garden, his place of rest, authority, comfort and dominion to a Life of struggles and pain. The Lord God had warned beforehand about the repercussion of the deliberate choice a person makes that is contrary to God’s command(Deut 29:18-19)

Isaac: Gen 26:1-5, God commanded Isaac to remain in the Promised Land of Canaan, but the man took off to the land of Gerer in Philistine. Although he prospered materially in Gerar (Gen 26:12-14), immediately trouble began. The King and the people so hated him, obstructing every move he makes to enjoy his wealth, until finally, he was driven out of the land back to Bathsheba, the place God originally told him to stay. And, immediately he returned, God appeared to him (Gen 26:24-25)

Haman: The inordinate ambitions of a person can bring unpleasant results to him and his family members. In Esther 3: 9-13, Haman blind hatred of Mordecai led to his death and destruction (Esther 7: 9-10)

Choices with repercussions for other people connected to us:

Korah and company: The lack of contentment of the position a person has results in death and destruction to him and his family members as well. Abuse of previledges God has given to a person can bring about devastating consequences. In Numbers 16:1-3, Korah, Dathan and Abiram and some other 250 renowned elders of isreal, Levites chosen to burn incense before the LORD (Numbers 16:8-9) made a bad choice in accusing Moses falsely and sought to overthrow his leadership. God responded harshly to their rebellion by destroying them and all their wives, relatives and children in one day (Num 16:31-35)

King Saul: The hard heartedness, stubbornness and an unrepentant attitude of a person can negatively affect the future destiny of his/her off springs. The story of King Saul illustrates this point. In I Sam 15:22-23, Saul’s disobedience and unwillingness to let go of his murderous pursuit of David eventually led to the death of Jonathan who was innocent of the father crime and the heir to the kingdom of Israel ( I Sam 31:4-6)

King Hezekiah: The Inordinate concern for self-interest and thoughtlessness of a person action can affect the future of generations yet to come. In 2 Kings 20:12-18 and Isaiah 39:1-8, the story of King Hezekiah shows how a man thinks only about his own welfare and not of his children after transgressing against the Lord in by allowing forbidden strangers to enter the Temple of God and set eyes on the Lords treasures. Rather than repent hear what he said in 2 Kings 20:19, “ So Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the Lord which you have spoken is good!” For he said, “Will there not be peace and truth at least in my days? What a selfish man!

Eli the High Priest: In 1 Sam 2: 17-28, the Bible warns about when a person honors his/her children more than the God, it can be very dangerous and costly. Rather than sanction his two sons, he chose not to offend them. (Prov 13:24) “He who spares his rod hates his son, but he who loves him disciplines him promptly”. Eli lost the priesthood forever, his two wicked sons were killed same day and his grandchild was made an orphan the very day he was born and bears the reproach of that generation by the name he was given at birth.

Conclusions: The lessons to learn from the sermon:

We must be careful about the actions we take that can negatively affect the

destiny of our children (Matt 27:25).

We are to lay up treasures for our children, not a curse and hardship (Prov 13:22). We are to labor for their future and pray fervently not to fail God in tour responsibility (Isaiah 8:18)-the children God has given me are for signs and wonders in the land.

Prayer points:

Father, break every negative consequences in my life, of my ancestors disobedience to you IJN

Father, do not allow me and my children to suffer from the negative consequences of any person in position of authority in this country and anywhere I live from today. Insulate me and my children from the consequences of their evil and rebellious actions against you IJN.

Father, help me to continue to take and make the right decisions concerning the destiny and future wellbeing of my children

Father, give me the grace and strength to continue to live in obedience to your word and help me in my moments of weakness IJN

Father, I receive grace, power and authority to leave a blessing and not a curse for my children children’s IJN

Topic: The path to achieving greatness-Part 2

Text: Gen 12:1-3

Last week we talked about obtaining and experiencing dominion in your spheres of life. We will finish the part 1 today and next week focus look on people that you must avoid if you want to attain greatness in life.

Last week we defined dominion as having power, authority, jurisdiction, control, command and to be in charge of something or rule over it. We also said that

You must know that you can and do have dominion

Walk more closely with God than ever before this year

Get your directions and instructions from God

Have the desire to want to live in dominion and not spiritual and physical slavery.

Strive for excellence, not mediocrity

We continue to look at some other things we must do to have dominion and attain greatness:

Habakkuk 2:2-3- Have a vision of how great you want to become. In other words, have a plan and dream big dreams of dominion and greatness. Do not settle for less in your career, workplace, in Ministry and concerning your vision for greatness. (Prov 29:18) says where there is no vision, a people perish. Without a plan, a man will go around in circles and remain in obscurity.

Psalms 119:130 says that “ The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple”. Identify the area of life that you want to exercise and have dominion in, the area of life that interest you or things that you appear to have a flair for. Pursue it and learn everything you can to develop expertise on. Strive for excellence, to be the best in your field and never settle for mediocrity because our God is a God of excellence , perfection and great greatness

Dig into the promises of God concerning you. (Jer 29:11; Isaiah 45:3) in order to identify and confirm the area of influence that God has deposited in you even before you are born (Jer 1:10). In Hebrews 10:7; Psalms 40:7 and Luke 4:17-21, Jesus discovered His purpose, identified His mission on earth, “Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, to do thy will”.

To discover purpose and direction to dominion and greatness, human wisdom will fail, but only the word of God can truly guide you in this direction. (Psalms 119:105) says “thy word

is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path” Let the word of God give you direction and guidance on your journey to greatness and dominion.

Close with the story of Daniel as another example of a man that had dominion:

Daniel was taken into captivity against his will-Dan 1:4

In Dan 1:5-7-his name was changed to a foreign one, his eating habit and cultures were altered. Even though he was living among many competitors with access to the best things that the land could offer, yet Daniel prospered and excelled in the land far and above his peers spanning over the reign of 4 kings. His dominion and greatness was not short lived.

Conclusion:

Regardless of your present social status, condition, speaking accent, skin color, limited access to financial and economic resources, you can begin to exercise dominion by beginning to occupy in your present position. God shall increase your dominion as you press ahead IJN.

Zech 4:7, “Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!

When you are ready to have dominion, the Lord said that He will help you so that you will know that He is God (Zech 4: 90 “The hands of Zerubbabel Have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it.”

Prayers:

Father, give a dominion and greatness that shall last a very long time, as long as the earth remain. My dominion and greatness shall not be short lived, it shall continue with my children and children children’s.

Father, satisfy my thirst for dominion and greatness, whet my appetite never to be satisfied until I gain complete dominion and greatness this year IJN

Sing: 1. God will make a way, where there seems to be no way

2. He has promised, he has never failed, I will follow him, I will trust him

Topic: The path of beginning to achieving greatness

Text: Gen 12:1-3

Introduction: The journey to greatness of a child of the Almighty God involves many steps. Each person have to take certain actions in order to experience greatness in life. There are specific and several actions that need to be taken. There is no room for chance and speculation or wishful thinking. To attain greatness, as ordained by God, requires deep introspection and self-examination. The pathways are already laid out, but it will take some determination to attain greatness.

Today, we want to talk about obtaining and experiencing dominion in your spheres of life. If we are able finish the topic today, then, next week, we will focus on people that you must avoid in order attaining your greatness.

What is dominion? Dominion has sub- sets such as Power, authority, jurisdiction, control, command, and to hold sway. Dominion means the right to govern or rule or determine. Power implies possession of ability to wield force, authority, or influence the power to mold public opinion. When you are in charge of something or rule it, you have dominion over it.

How do we have dominion?

1. You must know that you can and do have dominion. It is already given to us. God in the beginning assigned a sphere of dominion to each person (Gen 1: 26-30). David acknowledges this fact in Psalms 8:4-8. The devil corrupted this plan of dominion (Gen 3:24), but Jesus restored it (1 John 3:8; Matt 28:18; Luke 10:19-over all the powers of the enemy, including oppositions to our inheritance and exercise of your dominion. The ground work was sealed by Jesus life that was paid on the cross (John 19:30-it is finished and Num 24:19)

2. Walk more closely with God than ever before this year (Psalm 19:13) Serve Him with all your heart, soul and resources and don’t leave any of your family members out (Matt 22:37-38). Illustrate with Joseph Story in Genesis 37:8. In spite of the conditions joseph finds himself, he was still able to obtain, exercised and retained dominion wherever he finds himself.

In Potiphar house he became the chief servant, second only in

command to his master- Gen 39:2-6

In the prison, he was put in charge of all the prisoners and wielded influence-Gen 39:21-23

And finally, at the palace of Pharaoh, he became the prime minister of Egypt-Gen 41:37-44

3. Get your directions and instructions from God (Psalms 119:133-135). To be able to walk more closely with God, you will need to hear His voice for proper guidance, move in the right direction and good decision making to avoid falling into error and regrets. It is very important to do this so that we don’t get misled and allow the enemy to steal our blessings when they are ready for delivery by God (The man of God and the Old prophet in 1Kgs 13:23-24) the story of Micaiah and the false prophets (I Kgs 22:9-12, 17-23)

4. Have the desire to want to live in dominion and not spiritual and physical slavery. Illustrate with the story of the men of Jabesh Gilead. In 1 Sam 11:1-2, the bible says that “Then Nahash the Ammonite came up and encamped against Jabesh Gilead; and all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you.”  And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, “On this condition I will make a covenant with you, that I may put out all your right eyes, and bring reproach on all Israel.”

Lesson: You have a choice to either live in dominion or you live under the dominion of others. These others could be poverty, ill health, barrenness in other areas of life such as academic stagnation; progressive resistance to your advance in career and more importantly, spiritual stagnation or a personal alter of service to minister to God.

But why did the elders turn to the enemy in the first place? Do not negotiate with the agents of darkness; they will only seek to put you under their dominion and authority for as long you choose. That is why this morning, someone is going to jump up and declare enough is enough IJN.

But thank God, the elders had a little sense left in them to appeal for help from the people of God and not give in to the enemy. In 1 Sam 11:3, the bible says that “Then the elders of Jabesh said to him, “Hold off for seven days, that we may send messengers to all the territory of Israel. And then, if there is no one to save us, we will come out to you.” Don’t go to the enemy for help of any sort or negotiation.

5. Strive for excellence, not mediocrity. Prov 22:29 says, “ Do you see a man

who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown me. Do not settle for less in your career, workplace, in Ministry and concerning your vision for greatness (Habakkuk 2:2-3). You can covet good works. For Jesus came to give life and life that we may live more abundantly (John 10:10).

SERMON BY PST FOLORUNSHO NICHOLAS OMOGBEHIN ON SUNDAY 01 JAN, 2017 AT RCCG HOGPNC

Topic: The joy of thanksgiving:

Text: Malachi 3: 13-15

In Matt 19:27, the disciples also expressed the same sentiment when they asked the Lord Jesus: “See we have left all and followed you, what we shall have?

The Bible says that the expectations of the righteous shall never be cut off (Prov 23:18). Every person who earnestly seeks the Lord finds Him. The Covenant of God is an everlasting one, having confirmed His oath to us by swearing by his own name (Heb 6:13)

Illustrate with the promise of God to Simeon in Luke 2:25-31. Simeon did not taste death until God fulfilled his promises to him. God shall fulfill His promises to you starting today IJN. It is a year of pleasant surprises

In Luke 2:36-38, Anna, the prophetess joy was suddenly made full as the Lord brought her into the temple to behold Jesus Christ as a child. God shall direct your steps into everything that will bring you joy all your life IJN.

In Mark 10:29-30, Jesus assured his disciples and by implication all believers of the great reward that awaits us as we serve God faithfully.

Finally, the Lord answered the people in Malachi 3:16-18. The day of his visitations shall be peace and joy to the righteous. The Bible says in Isaiah 51:11, “Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

To wait upon the Lord is great gain and the blessing, unending. Our joy shall abound and be unending Psalm 92:4. “For thou, Lord, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.” And Matt 5:12, Jesus says “Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven”

God will bless us so rich financially and no sorrows shall be added. Wait upon the Lord, I say, wait and be full of expectations.

Topic: The Reward of Thanksgiving.

Text: Luke 17:11-19

Introduction:

What is thanksgiving? Is it limited to when good things happens to us?

Thanksgiving is the expression of gratitude for what God has done for us. We give thanks for the promises God has made to us which has not yet manifest. Thanksgiving is also the acknowledgment of God’s kindness, blessings, protection, love and rebuke and warning because God still gives us the opportunity for repentance and to live, rather than die in our sins or troubles.

When do we give thanks to God?

In adversity-Job 1: 20-22

Opposition and threats-2 Chron 20:21, 26-28

Prosperity-

Delayed expectations and prayers- Epsn 5:20

What are the ways we can give thanks to God?

Prayers-Philippians 1: 3-4

Praise and songs- Ps 105:1-2

Obedience to His commandments-Deut 28:1-14

Commitment to the kingdom work-

Topic: Lead me not into temptation

Text: Matt 6:13; James 1:13-15

Preamble:

Great is our expectations of the victory and blessings God has prepared for those who serve and worship Him. His Word on this matter is settled as His Promise to bless us is sure. However, we must be careful not to hinder, delay or altogether fail to gain possession of these blessings. We must constantly watch and pray against those things in life than can easily derail our focus on God. One of such is the topic of today’s sermon-Temptation. What does it mean? How are we tempted? From where does it come?

Introduction:

In Matt 4:1-11, we find the difference in the meaning and purpose when someone is being tested or tempted. Temptation originates from and is inspired of the Devil. In John 10:10, Jesus said that the enemy purpose is to kill, steal and destroy whoever is the target. Temptation orchestrated and executed by the devil is designed to abort the plans and purposes of God in the life of the person.

In Genesis 22:1 God wanted to test the obedience, faith and trust of Abraham in Him. The purpose of the test was to move Abraham from the position he then was to a higher level (Gen 22: 15-18)

Joseph went through similar experience before God elevated him from a prison to the position of the prime minister of Egypt a foreign land.

In 2 Sam 11: 2-3, the enemy capitalized on the desire and lust of King David to not only commit adultery against one of his chief loyal military officers but also murder him and take over his wife. What was the result? It brought shame, reproach and a trouble that plagued David and his household for a long time. Even though, God mercy eventually overrides the grand scheme of Satan to destroy David.

In Judges 14:1-3 and 16:1, the Bible detailed the fate of another person destined for greatness by God, but who the devil cut short his destiny. Samson was able to kill a lion, slaughter 1000 men with the jaw bone of an animal and pulled down the city gates of Gaza, yet, he could not conquer his appetite for wine, nor tame his lust for the strange woman.

How do we overcome this obstacle?

Walk with God and live a perfect life as Christ did-Matt 5:48

Focused on finishing your Christian race well and strong, not on earthly things-2 Timothy 4:7-8

Live a life pleasing to God as commanded in our Bible reading of today-2 Timothy 2:15

Deliver yourself from yourself-Ps 19: 9-13.

Conclusion:

Reject a life of secret sins and a life of the unconverted, those who profess to know the LORD, but still

refuse to live by His commandments

Prayer points:

Psalms 19:9-10-Father, give me the desire to love you and do your commandments to insure my victory in Jesus name.

Matt 5: 48- Father, help me to live like you so that I can finish well and make Heaven

Psalms 19: 12-13-Father, Because great is the victory you have prepared for me and my family this year, deliver me from myself so that I can obtain the blessings you have provided for me and my family in Jesus name.

SERMON DELIVERED BY PASTOR FOLORUNSHO NICHOLAS OMOGBEHIN @RCCGHOGPNC SUNDAY 23 OCTOBER 23,

Topic: And God Remembered

Text: Exodus 2: 23-25

Introduction:

The Almighty has made a covenant with believers (Gen 17:7; Jer 32:40) This Covenant includes his promise of protection, deliverance from forces of darkness, blessings, guidance throughout our life, healings when we fall sick, material and financial prosperity, promotion and good success and help when we are in trouble.

God never forgets the promises made to His people (Ps 105:8). The Almighty God has a timeline for everything and everyone (Eccl 3:1-8; Dan 2:21). The Almighty knows the beginning from the ending and sees far into the future of every person. In Genesis 15:13-14, God informed Abraham that his descendants will be slaves in Egypt for 430 years. Every person is limited in knowledge, power, and ability and has a short life span. In Isaiah 2:22, God states that a man’s life is in his nostrils.

The present situation is tough, but the Lord will remember His people and showed them mercy. The Lord will respond to our cry of distress IJN.

In Isaiah 41:10, the Lord Jesus Christ assures His People his authority and power to help us overcome when we experience difficult challenges of life.

Let us look briefly at the following cases in the Bible where God responded to the cry for help of certain people.

The story of Joseph:

In Gen: 41:14-Joseph was remembered at the right moment and was hastily sent for. God shall create the situation where we shall be sent for.

Racheal desperation for a child after 7 years of marriage:

In Gen 30: 22- Rachel desperation was seen by God and God responded to her prayers. Racheal shame of barrenness became history when God remembered her

Hannah long years of barrenness was brought to an end:

1 Sam 1:1-19-The Bible says that Peninnah mocked and provoked Hannah sore because she had no children. But, then God remembered Hannah and blessed her.

Let God silence every spirit of Peninnah in your life

Noah in the Ark:

Gen 8: 1- 3 God flooded the earth because of the iniquity of the land. But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and made the waters to recede so that Noah can begin to enjoy the blessings of God.

Lot and his daughters:

In Gen: 19: 29- So when God destroyed the cities of the plains, God remembered Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow. Because of Jesus, God will remember me today.

In Esther 6:1-3-King becomes aware of Mordecai’s services and rewarded him. God remembered Mortdecai devotion to him and defended him.

Malachi 3:16-18. The Lord will open the book of remembrance of those that fear Him and blessed them

Conditions that must be met by those that God will remember:

Abraham, Joseph, Esther, Hannah and Mordechai loved God intensely

They all demonstrated unconditional obedience to the commandments of God

They were ready and willing to suffer shame and afflictions for sake of His name-today some people are ashamed to even be identified as Christians

They followed God closely, irrespective of the danger and risks to their lives

They had no other alternatives than God- They were not praying to God in the public and in secret worship idols, devils and demonic spirits at night

They lived a life of holiness, which is a requirement for anyone who wants to call on the name of the lord for help. If you are living in sin and have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and savior, there is no way God will hear you.

Alter call:

The eyes of God is on those who hate Him to do them evil and those who love him for good-Psalms 11:5

Those people who forsake God will be forsaken by God too-2 Chron 24:20

But God gives those who hate Him a second chance to repent and be saved-2 Pet 3:9; 1 Tim 2:4

CONCLUSION:

Place your trust and hope in the Lord Jesus, be fervent in prayers and find a place

of service in God kingdom and you will experience the move of God in your life like never before.

Sermon by Folorunsho Nicholas Omogbehin at RCCGHOGPNC Nov 19, 2016

Topic: Will You Be Part Of The Builders Of The Kingdom Of God

Text: Nehemiah 1:12-15

Introduction: This morning, I want to directly address the special people that God has called into His kingdom. Each and every person has a unique role to play in the body of Christ; there is a place for everyone. However, not everyone comes forward when a need arise. God is always looking for someone to use to accomplish great and mighty works on earth. Today, we want to consider the reactions of Nehemiah to a need that he saw in the kingdom of God.

In Nehemiah 1: 2, he enquired as to the physical conditions of the city of Jerusalem and the welfare of the people. What he heard was very distressing and he was very unhappy Nehemiah 1:4. The need Nehemiah identified was to rebuild the broken walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah has a passion to restore the respect and glory of the place of worship-the city of Jerusalem in order to take away the reproach and mocking of the unbelievers-the enemies of the church of God.

Nehemiah recognized that he alone cannot accomplish the rebuilding of the walls. He played his part by getting the support of the king to give the approval to rebuild the walls, some of the resources such as beams, cedar tree etc, but he needed the people to contribute their part Nehemiah

The Bible says that when Nehemiah shared his concerns, the people responded positively-Neh 2:17.-18. The people did not give excuses. There

were no objectors to the vision.

In Haggai 1:2, the bible talks of about people who rather than be part of the move of God, began to give excuses why they cannot get involved in God work. You see, the person who wants to be used by God, the person who wants to fulfill destiny and purpose must “see” with the eyes of faith rather than look at the surrounding circumstances: fear of the unknown; ridicule; what people might say about them; what impact it will have on their finances etc.

These people run the risks of attracting the displeasure of the Almighty God. In Haggai 1:5, 7, God will first appeal to such a fellow and people and if that appeals fails, then God can other means to get the attention of such a person for example God can cause such a fellow to work so hard, yet have nothing to show for it Haggai 1:6, 9; or God can cause such a person to remain unproductive thinking it is the natural occurrences around him while others are prospering (Haggai 1:10-11)

In Haggai 2:4-5, the Almighty God assured that no matter how small and unimpressive the work may seem at the present, it is always linked to something far greater and glorious that we can imagine.

They set to work in the areas assigned and steadily turned a ruined city into a fortified city because they had a mind to work (Neh 4:6). Each person and group assigned a portion of the wall worked hard and steadfast to complete the tasks. Chapter 3:1-32 detailed these works on the various sections of the fallen wall. For example Eliashib and his brethren (Neh 3:1) did the sheep gate; Uzziel the goldsmith; Melatiah the Gibeonite repaired the gate by the

river etc. They did not wait for the entire to be completed but each person saw a need and worked on a portion. They did not wait until everything was in place before they could join in the rebuilding efforts.

Each person worked a piece in spite the oppositions and challenges by the enemies. Each person that was involved did not allow the distractions and threats of the enemies to weaken their resolve to work for the Lord. Why, because they had a mind to do the work and were faithful and steadfast in their resolve to build the house of the Lord. When each person resolves to play their own small role in the church, the work progresses much quickly. It takes a person of commitment and uncommon dedication to do this.

What was the result? The work was accomplished to the astonishment of those around them and to the glory of God and to the shame of their distractors (Nehemiah 6:15)

Which place in the ministry/Church will you put your gifts, talents and God given abilities to use? In Haggai 1: 13, God assured you of His presence and support for those who will work for Him and His kingdom. Haggai 1:8 described the result and benefit that attains your obedience and response to his call for you to participate in the building of His kingdom

Conclusion:

When you play your part God promised to turn things around for your sake (Haggai 2:18-19) and like Nehemiah you will never be forgotten (Neh 13:31) and God never owes any man but remembers each person labor of love and rewards them in due season.

Sermon delivered at the Xmas Carol Night Service, 24 Dec 2016, @RCCG House of Grace Parish

Topic: Jesus Christ, the savior of the world

Text: Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given;

And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called

Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”.

The Almighty God hundreds of years before Jesus came to the earth in the flesh as man, made provision to redeem fallen man back to Himself.

Isaiah 9: 2, clearly painted the state of humanity before Christ would come to the earth-sickness; death; pain and sufferings; spiritual captivity and people walking in complete darkness because Satan the enemy had held them captive and prevented them from attaining their full and true potential of life, “whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them” 2 Corinthians 4:4.

The Almighty God is a Covenant keeping God; always faithful to his promises to the people He made them. When the devil tricked man to sin and fall from grace before God (Gen 3:1-8), the LORD promised that HE will send Christ to undo the damage Satan had caused mankind, “ And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel”(Genesis 3: 15).

Satan had held people in bondage through the deception of sin ever since the fall in the Garden of Eden (Gen 3: 22-27). At the fullness of time, God sent His Son Jesus to come and save us from the hands of the enemy (Jn 3:16). Jesus did not come as many had expected Him-a mighty king, a political figure, rich and handsome etc (Matt 24:27). God out smarted Satan by bringing Jesus to the earth through the most unlikely way; born of the Virgin Mary. Not only did God brought Jesus to earth by human means, God did not announce Him to the high, rich, powerful and influential people, he chose the people mostly at the bottom of the ladder of society.

Hear what the Bible says in Luke 2:8-14

God chose the base and lowly esteemed of the society to announce the savior to humanity and make known His plan of salvation which he had promised

earlier. God do not always go to the rich and affluent to reveal Himself, for good reasons. “Success” and self-sufficiency and so called intellectual ability clouds our ability to understand spiritual truth and life (Apostle Paul for example). God usually comes to us fist because He knows we will most likely respond positively to Him. God uses the common people to bring to nothing the wisdom of the wise. Count yourself blessed to have the GoodNews of the gospel preached to you and that you believed.

What does the birth signifies?

The birth of Jesus brings joy and gladness to all those who will accept His Lordship (Luke 2:13-14).

Those that accept Jesus must proclaim or preach Him to other people. As they do so, fear disappears and peace that passeth all human wisdom and understanding will rule in their hearts (John 14:27).

The birth of Jesus brings us our freedom from the power of sin and eternal death in hell, from darkness that the enemy has kept us, into an everlasting light so that we no longer walk about life both physically unfruitful and spiritual dead (Colossians 1:13).

The birth of Jesus Christ has made available to us the way to abundant life and with a purpose, prosperity and greatness on earth. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 10:10).

The birth of Jesus Christ has given every one who will accept him the passport to be saved, live free of sickness and disease, deliverance from the control, dominion and life of slavery under the powers of the forces of darkness and Jesus has made available the Holy Spirit to support, comfort, guide and give us victory over the enemy forever (John 8: 38; Luke 10:19).

The alter call: But, you cannot know the true peace and joy of Christmas if you have not totally surrendered your life to Jesus Christ. And if that is the case, then you are like the fig tree of Matthew 21:17-20. The Bible says that you are cursed and you shall be dried up, dead and cast into the fire, because you rejected the offer of salvation and you only had an appearance of fruitfulness (Mark 16:16).

In conclusion, I encourage us to keep in mind what God instructed Moses to tell the Israelites in Deuteronomy 6:5 and which verse was re-echoed by our

Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 22:37. Keep the faith in Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of your faith and celebrate our Lord and Savior with pride, gladness and with an exceedingly great rejoicing.

Theme: Month of fruitfulness

Topic: Abide in me

Text: John 15: 1 - 15

Introduction:

You are all welcome to the month of fruitfulness. As our General Overseer has declared “No more fruitless effort” so shall it be in every area of our life, career, ministry, school, homes, and business in Jesus name Amen.

What is Fruitfulness?

It is the evidence of productivity, increase, and success in a specific activity or work. It is the absence of barrenness in every areas of life endeavor. Fruitfulness can also be described as result oriented and continuous progress in anything a person is doing or has done.

However, there are some conditions that you must meet in order for you to be fruitful. In other words, before we can experience fruitfulness, prior preparations and some form of sacrifices must be made before we can begin to expect rewards or results. For example, if you want your business to prosper, you must have invested money in the business. If you expect Grade A in your exams, you must have studied very hard and smart. If you want the Crown of Rejoicing (1 Thessalonians 2:18-19) you must evangelize to win souls into the church by reaching out to people. We expect whatever we do to bring great rewards and fruitfulness.

In Gen 1:28 God has already prepared the earth, garden, the woman before the blessing came “be fruitful and multiply. The Bible says and God blessed THEM

This morning we want to look at some of the requirement of fruitfulness.

We need at least two or more people. Gen 1: 28, it was God and Adam and his wife. It takes two people to bring forth fruit. Biologically, husband and wife (Gen 1: 28). Spiritually or in ministry (Mark 6: 7) God send out the disciples in two. In business you need a partner to do business with.

Necessity for a Seed: You need the seed and someone to plant it. Gen 26:12. What are you trying to say here?

We must abide in God. John 15: 4, Jesus is our true vine and we are the branch. Because the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it stays connected to the root.

We must keep God’s commandments. John 15: 10

One of his commandment is Tithe and offering (Malachi 3:10)

The Great Commission (Matt 16:18-20) to win souls into His kingdom.

Love one another and live in unity (Act 2: 46-47)

We must be humble and submissive to God- Philippians 2:5-9. There cannot be two masters in a house. We need to humble ourselves in our home and work places, because people are watching us as the Light of the world. Nobody wants to be associated with a person that is quarrels, insults and disrespectful of others. James 4:10 says, humble yourself before the LORD and God will exalt you. God will not exalt someone that thinks he is wiser than everyone else.

We must live in total obedience to God- Isaiah 1:19.Total obedience is what will bring about fruitfulness. No playing games with God. John 21: 6 Peter obeyed God instruction and his fruitfulness began to overflow.

I pray that as we begin to put all these into practice, the Almighty God will crown all of our effort with exceeding fruitfulness IJN.

Conclusion:

Our God is a God of fruitfulness, prosperity and success. Everything that God created brought forth fruitfulness – For example, in Genesis 1: 11-12, God created the Earth and commanded it to be fruitful and it was so.

Our God therefore hates barrenness and unfruitful life-Matt 7:19. Jesus expects us to be fruitful in everything that we do in life. In Luke 13:6-7, our God do not expects us to be stagnant in life, but to be extra ordinarily productive and fruitful, including soul winning to expand His kingdom on earth.

Isaiah 44:6-8, God expects us to live in safety and not in bondage to powers and forces of darkness.

Deut 15: 6, Jesus expects us to be financially sufficient so that we are a blessing to our family and not live in poverty and penury, borrowing and living from hand to mouth.

Isaiah 65:21, God expects us to reap abundantly from the labor of our life and not toil like an elephant but eat and live like a rat.

In 3 John 1: 2 and Hebrews 2:14-15, God expects us to live in divine health and not live in sickness and under the shadow of death.

In Matt 21:18-20, Jesus expected the fig tree to bear fruit and He cursed the tree because it was barren. May we not be cursed for not being fruitful in Jesus Name.

In Leviticus 26:9-10, God expressly declare that we are favored and to live a fruitful life. God will not tolerate failure to be associated with His children.

PRAYER POINTS:

Genesis 1:28, Lord Jesus, my God and my Father, because your word commands that I should multiply and be fruitful, release the grace of fruitfulness into my life Leviticus 26:4, father, I command the land of USA to her increase unto me.

Genesis 17:6-7, Lord Jesus and my Father, according to your word, confirms your everlasting Covenant with me and my children to begin to be exceedingly fruitful in this land and in ministry in the mighty name of Jesus.

Deut 28: 12 and Leviticus 26:4, Lord Jesus, my God and Father, I command divine abundance in my life that I will always have more than enough resources to sustain me and my family from month to month and year in year out. I shall not lack anything in life.

Psalms 19:1, Lord Jesus, my God and Father, from today let the heavens declare your glory over my family, my marriage, my career, my ministry and everything in my life.

Sermon delivered by Pastor Mrs. Gold Omogbehin on Sunday 18th Sept, 2016

Theme: Our Month of Fruitfulness

Topic: Lifted Up

Text: John 12:32

Last week we talked about what God expected from us to do in order for us to be fruitful. Some of the points we discussed was that we need at least two people to bear fruit, work in love & unity, humbleness/submissiveness, and keep God commandment and lastly, to abide in Jesus Christ.

This morning we want to continue by looking at some hindrances/obstacles to a person’s fruitfulness.

In Gen 1: 28 God decreed blessing on the man and woman to be fruitful and multiply etc. But, Satan the deceiver came as a hindrance to that decree.

Brethren, even though God has commanded us and the decree as also gone forth from our daddy that no more fruitless effort. I want us to know that the enemy is still at work. 1 Peter 5:8 said “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, and seeking whom he may devour”. I pray that we will not be a victim in Jesus name. Amen.

The enemy. Satan will come and may use different means to try to hinder someone from bearing fruit/ fulfilling destiny. John 10:10a “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” 2 Corinthians 2:11 “do not be ignorant of Satan devices”. In Genesis 3:4 (Eve) John 14:30 11 (Jesus). Some of the enemy devices are, deception, false accusation and accuser of our brothers, setting ambushes and traps when we are not looking or when we are discouraged etc.

Laws and decrees- Daniel 6:1-9, Esther 3:1

Storms of life. Mark 4:37-39 storm can be finances, discouragement, depression, sickness etc. Whatever may be the storm you are passing

through, “I command that storm to become still today in the name of Jesus”

Doubt about the fulfillment of the promises of God to you. We are human and weak in our faith. This weakness in our walk with God can sometimes cause to have doubts about whether God will ever answer some of our prayers. That is why in Luke 17:5, even the disciples cried to Jesus to “increase our faith” and in Mark 9:24, the father of the boy who was epileptic asked the Lord Jesus to help his unbelief so that his prayers might be answered. Proverbs 13:12 says that hope deferred or prayed not answered immediately when we want it can make the heart sick, yet, when the LORD answers our prayers in due season, we are like a tree of life that brings forth fruits in all its seasons and our joy becomes full (Psalms 1:3).

Above all Jesus said in our text that if He is lifted up. Because Jesus is the highly exalted One (Philippians 2:9), seated at the right hand of power of God, the father (Luke 22:69), He has given us the power to be fruitful (Ephesians 1:19) Therefore, If we can just summon the courage to lift Jesus up, no matter the challenges and difficulties we face, we will not just be fruitful, but exceedingly fruitful (Gen 17: 6) as God has promised in every areas of our life-spiritually, health-wise, financially, materially and in power, influence and dominion in Jesus name.

Theme: Doing Exploits in Life

Topic: You Must Be Visionary To Do Exploits

Text: Jeremiah 1:11

Bible Reading: Romans 8:16-19

Introduction:

Last week we talked about the divine strategies that God gave to those that would want to do exploits in life-Daniel and his friends; Paul given the right speech at the right time, David’s defeat of philistine through the movement of the mulberry trees by God; Gideon use of the trumpets, lamps and empty pitchers, and Jephthah’s wisdom to make two demands that cannot be refused.

What Are the Characteristic of the Person Who Will to Do Exploit in life?

You must be prepared to break with your past- Paul put his past life as a Jesus persecutor behind him and broke with his Pharisee heritage. He was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ Jesus–Rom 1:16

You must break with traditions- Abraham broke his ties to his traditional way of life when God called him for exploits-Gen 12:1. Paul also forsook the Jewish ceremonial ways of life and avoided all evil spiritual attachments that can set him back (Rom 6:4)

You must be resolute and convicted of the course of action- In Acts 20:22-24, 19:21; Romans 8:38-39 Paul was determined to finish the works of exploits entrusted in spite of the difficulties revealed by the Holy Spirit. In (John 4:32) Jesus was resolute in his determination to do exploits for God, the Father without compromise.

You must stay connected with the Holy Spirit to receive privileged information and strength for o exploits – when the journey get rough and tough, Elijah remained attached to the Holy Spirit and survived on one meal for 40 days (1Kings 19:8) John 15:5-we are without power outside of Jesus.

You cannot live a double life-Gal 2: 11-14, Paul eschewed hypocrisy and falsehood

God has given us all authority and power to accomplish the vision/dream/goal- Matt 28:18.

Conclusion:

Remain focused on your God given vision and promises to do exploit in life and don’t be deterred (Hebrew 12:2). Stay the course, irrespective of the difficult challenges. Fill your thoughts with the power of the word of God (Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:23) and live by the power of the Holy Spirit and the mind of Christ (2 Timothy 1:7).

PRAYER POINTS:

Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to open your eyes of understanding, remove any doubts that can cripple your mind to dream big dreams of success

Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to give you boldness of spirit, the power to move forward and succeed in life from today in Jesus mighty name, amen.

Text: Nehemiah 1:1-11

Topic: The Power to Accomplish

Introduction: Many things we do in life does not always turn out the way we intended or planned (Proverbs 19:21), unless the hand of God is involved. However, from the moment we conceive the idea or plans that will ultimately move us from a lower level to the next higher level and until the actual fulfillment and manifestation of that plan; we are faced with many challenges.

In the process, most people simply give up because of exhaustion, discouragement; lack of help and lack of progress and a sense of defeat. When we give up, God declares that our faith is small, particularly, when such plan or projects has future spiritual significance- the salvation of souls and the promotion of the Kingdom of God (Proverbs 24:10).

Today, we examine the life of Nehemiah and how he dealt with this type of situation and what lessons God wants us to learn from his experience.

Nehemiah Rebuild the Fallen Walls of Jerusalem:

He turned to God for help, pleaded for mercy and forgiveness before turning to man who he had correctly identified as the means to solve the problem at hand-Nehemiah 1:5-6

He recognized and admitted his own sins as well as the negative consequences of the actions of his ancestors and the just punishment -Nehemiah 1:7-8

BSHF- MIN. FOLORUNSHO NICHOLAS OMOGBEHIN, 20152203

He appealed to the merciful and forgiving nature of God and His covenant promises to deliver, save and to restore his people-Nehemiah 1:10

He made his case before God and asked for divine breakthrough before proceeding to the King for help-Nehemiah 1:11. We have a parallel in Esther 4:16

God granted Nehemiah wish, was given the authority by the King and the resources needed to accomplish the mission- Nehemiah 1:6-8

The challenges of Nehemiah:

The enemy will be unhappy when you decide to make progress-Neh 2: 10. Other examples are the Jews constant opposition to Paul: Acts 8:16; 13:45; sought to kill him, Acts 9: 23; stoned Acts 14:19 and; beaten with rods and shipwrecked, 2 Corinthians 11:24-25. Jesus enemies were the religious leaders-Luke 11:53-54

The enemy will ridicule, discourage and heap insults on you so that you may lose confidence and faith in God and give up on your efforts-Nehemiah 2: 19

When mocking and ridicule fail, the enemy changes tactics by trying to diminish the value of the work among those that support you-Nehemiah 4:1-3

The enemy will become desperate by fabricating lies about you-Nehemiah 6: 5-7

They will use familiar people to try to derail your vision-Nehemiah 6:10-12.

BSHF- MIN. FOLORUNSHO NICHOLAS OMOGBEHIN, 20152203

How to respond to the challenges of the enemy?

Appeal to Jesus Christ for help-Nehemiah 4:4

Set up a watch against the enemy and develop a counter measure –Nehemiah 4:9

Arm yourself, physically (research, planning and commitment) and spiritually-put on the whole armor of spiritually-Nehemiah 4: 16-18

Remind yourself of the presence and the hand of God in your life and the project-Neh 4:14

Do not rest on your oars until you achieve your goal-Nehemiah 4:23; 6: 15-16

Prayer Points:

Lord Jesus Christ, my God and Father, please strengthens me and teaches my hands to fight and to win the battles of life-Psalms 144:1-2

Lord Jesus Christ, my God and Father , Let anyone opposed to my life fall before me-Ecclesiastes 10:8; Esther 7:9-10

Lord Jesus Christ, my God and Father , Grant me wisdom for success in every area of my life-Eccl 7:19

Lord Jesus Christ, my God and Father , Satisfy me with your blessing-Psalms 36: 8

Lord Jesus Christ, my God and Father , I receive the power to stay the course and finish strong- Hebrews 12:2; 2 Timothy 4:7

Topic: The significance of Easter Celebration to Believers

Text: John 20:11-15

Bible Reading: Isaiah 53:6-9

Introduction:

Begin with the breakdown of the text of Isaiah 53:9. The LORD shared death with the wicked (John 19:16-18) the rich-joseph and Nicodemus (John 19:38-42) and was without deceit and the only sinless human to walk on earth, thereby making perfect the New Covenant of His blood for the salvation of the soul and redemption of the human race (Hebrews 7: 26-28; 9: 14).

Where then, lay the significance of the death and resurrection of the LORD Jesus to believers in particular and the world is general? Before we continue, let’s ask a few questions about the events leading to the death, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus.

In Isaiah 53:6-9, more than 2000 years before Jesus came to the earth in human form, His death and crucifixion was plainly foretold in scriptures

Why was Mary Magdalene unable to recognize Jesus at the tomb site? Jn 20:11

Why did the two disciples on the way to Emmaus fail to believe that Jesus will rise from the dead? Why did they become so discouraged that they failed to recognize Him even when He was walking and talking with them for over three hours?

Why were the Eleven Apostles not the first to go to the tomb where Jesus was buried?

Why didn’t they believe that Jesus has indeed, risen from the dead as reported? Lk 24: 36-39; Jn 20:9-10

In John 2: 19; Matt 12: 40 (to the Jews) and in Lk 18:32-33 (specifically to the disciples), Jesus foretold or predicted His death and crucifixion. Yet, in spite of this information, the disciples and some people today choose not to believe. This attitude explains the behavior of some believers concerning the

God’s promises of both blessings and judgement to come. Has God said something to you through the scriptures? I dare you to believe and trust Him, He will surely come to pass in your lifetime in Jesus name.

The effects of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ:

The resurrection of Jesus was a fact. After Pentecost, the Apostles persistently preached Jesus resurrection which they had resolutely disbelieved earlier

The resurrection released a stronger faith in believers concerning God’s promises of blessings

The resurrection released the power to live above sin and towards perfection–Jn 20:21-23

The resurrection affirms believer’s hope of life after death (Lk 9: 24; Matt 16:25) and the assurance of authority and victory over devils and demonic spirits and powers (Mk 16:17; 17:8; Matt 28:18)

We are given the privilege to partake in the Greatest Commission ever given to mankind-Lk 24:47 and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Lk 24:49)

The resurrection voice of Jesus re-awakens the believer and performs wonders in their lives:

Mary Magdalene heart was purged of sorrow, fear and desperation and filled with joy and gladness-(Jn 20:16)

The understanding of the disciples on the road to Emmaus was opened and hope was restored- Lk 24:31-33

For the eleven Apostles, fear gave way to boldness and a higher level of spiritual understanding of the deeper truths of the scriptures and of God-Lk 24: 37; 45.

Conclusion:

2 Corinthians 5:15

Many people and Christians all over the world celebrates Easter festivities every year without the resurrection of Jesus having any impact or effect over their lives, attitudes and behavior. For some, it is just another holiday, for others, it is a time of eating and getting drunk with wine and indulgence in

the lust and gratification of the flesh . But for true believers, it should be a time of sober reflection on the purpose of the Risen Lord Jesus going to the cross and what that means personally to us. It is also a time of renewed hope and rededication to the task that Jesus gave to the true believers to go forth and preach the gospel and extend His love to all.

Has your life been impacted by the knowledge of the resurrection of Jesus? If, not, what type of effects do you want the resurrection of Jesus to have in your life?

Prayer Points:

Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to give you the power of the resurrection that was not able to hold Jesus down in the grave.

Ask the Lord Jesus Christ to shield your mind and heart from all the deception and lies of the world and to give you power to exercise the faith that God has deposited in your life so that you can begin to prosper and obtain good success.

Sermon delivered by Pastor Folorunsho Nicholas Omogbehin on Sunday 14th February 2016

Topic: The Path to Greatness

Text: Psalms 23:1-4

Introduction:

Most people desire to be someone of importance on the earth. Most desire to be great and live above the average life. God’s plan for His children is that we fulfill our purpose and calling in life. To be great men and women of God and to exercise authority and dominion on the earth, to reign and to rule for him-Gen 1:26-28. God also promised that His thought towards us are good and not of evil (Jeremiah 29:11)

However, the road to greatness is not always smooth and easy; they are most times very challenging, difficult and rough.

There are choices to make in order to attain greatness in life. There are many ways to attain greatness in life. Today, we shall look at two of the most common ways that people attains greatness: self-will that may include the use of methods that are ungodly to attain greatness-violence, murder, treachery, occultism, witchcraft and deceptive means as evidenced in Gal 5:22. The other is the less preferred by most people-the way of the Almighty God.

Because of lack of patience, wisdom, knowledge, ignorance or flagrant disobedience to the word of God, many have pursued greatness to their hurt and destruction. Others, by the grace of God were rescued before disaster fell on them.

The story of Isaac: In Genesis 26:2-3, Isaac was given a clear instruction about his future but he refused. Why, because he allowed himself to be intimidated by the physical circumstances of famine and complications of his life.

He attained prosperity in the land-Gen 26:12-13

But Isaac self-made greatness induced hatred and envy from the enemies-Gen 26:14-16

Finally, when Isaac obeyed the initial instructions of God, he had peace and true greatness and the LORD broke His silence and appeared to Isaac and reassured him of His promises and commitment to him-Gen 26: 23-25. In that same place, the Bible recorded that they dug a well. Actually, the Hebrew word used meant that they

simply opened the well that was already dug and closed due to violence or neglect.

Notice that when this well was dug, it produces a different type of water, hence the name that was given by Isaac-Shebah-which means “the well of oath”-Gen 26:32-33. This well was unlike the previous three wells that were dug that became sources of contentions and problem. Even the one that was dug and named Rehoboth did not fully satisfy the needs of Isaac and his servants, hence the necessity to move away from the place. I decree today, that the Lord will move you by His hand to the right location where your blessings and breakthrough has been prepared for your greatness and peace of mind in Jesus name.

What are the lessons we can draw from the story of Isaac today?

We must bind and cast away the spirit of fear from our lives-Ps 23:4A

We must constantly remember that the Almighty God is with us always using his rod and staff to constantly beat back the forces of darkness and evil on our behalf-Ps 23:4B

We must live like the lamb and sheep and allow the LORD, our great Shepherd to lead us by the hand into our greatness-Ps 23:1-3

We must live in total obedience to the instructions of God so that God purpose can be fulfilled in our lives-Ps 23:3

Conclusion:

In Proverbs 16:7-8, the Bible says that when our ways please the LORD, He will make our enemies to be at peace with us and that whatever we have , no matter how small for the time being, as long as God has a hand in it, it will increase to be very great. In Gen 26: 26-31, Abimelech and others who hated Isaac went to look for him and begged to make peace with him. I decree today that your enemies will recognize the glory of God over your life and they will beg for your peace and forgiveness in Jesus Name.

Live a life of trust and faith in God and watch God lead you to greater heights this year 2016 in Jesus name.

Prayers:

I Corinthian 2:9- Lord Jesus, my God and Father, lead me with you hand into my place of greatness that You have prepared for me in this year in

Jesus name

I Corinthians 2:10 and Isaiah 45:3- Lord Jesus, my God and Father, every opportunity that you have prepared for my breakthrough this year, reveal them to me and I take positive possession of them and none shall fall out of my hands in Jesus name

Isaiah 45:2- Lord Jesus, my God and Father, as you have promised destroy and break into pieces every walls of oppositions and barriers standing in the way of my greatness in Jesus name.

Sermon for Sunday November 13, 2016 by Pst Folorunsho Nicholas Omogbehin @RCCGHOG

Topic: Lord Help Me

Text: Mark 5:25-34

These days, many of us are in need of help etc. some resort to self-help, others depend on people while others simply, give up to ask for help. Today we will focus on this topic-Lord Help Me- by looking at the story of the woman with the issue of blood that went to Jesus for help. She prayed 7 prayers that changed her life forever. In Mark 5: 25-34, the Bible says she had suffered many years going from one doctor to another. She had exhausted all her savings and became bankrupt. She has become odious and almost ostracized from the rest of the people.

But the Bible says that she prayed 7 simple prayers that gave her the miracles she sought.

She cried to God asking for an end to her physical sufferings. The bible says that she had suffered many things of the physicians. Her body was subjected to constant pains and sufferings. Jeremiah 32:27 says “I am the Lord God, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” Stand up and pray against any physical bodily pains, sufferings and any disease by whatever name they are called and ask the Lord to heal you, right now.

She asked for an end to her material sufferings. Proverbs 10:15 says that “the destruction of the poor is their poverty”. Poverty is a killer and should never be tolerated in your life. In Mark 10:46-52, the bible tells the story of blind Barthemeus who lived a life begging for food for over 40 years. Poverty reduces a person to a life of dependency and

inhuman sufferings and shame. The man cried out to God. I decree today that an end has come to every material suffering in your life IJN.

She asked for an end to her spiritual problem. She was regarded as unclean because of her continuous menstrual flow that smells and was thus excluded from the house of God and the people. She had a serious spiritual problem. There are challenges of life that can cause you to be excluded from other people. Because of your particular problems, people may not want you around them and you get rejected everywhere by everyone etc. The spiritual problems of life can only be solved by one person-Jesus Christ. Spiritual oppression by the forces of darkness can only be destroyed by God. In Isaiah 10:27, the bible says that “the anointing destroys the yoke”. And the Bible declares that Jesus, the Christ, the Anointed One alone has the power to destroy every yoke of the power of darkness in your life. Rise up and pray against every generational curse, parental curses and curse by wicked enemies around you or your family.

She knew that certain forces had laid a siege on her life, gradually snuffing life out of her through continuous loss of her blood. A siege is a classical technique of the devil. John 10:10, the devil comes but to steal, kill and destroy. The devil technique is to steadily reduce his target to nothing by gradually wasting the life, resources of the person. In Ruth 1:1-5, the bible says that the devil first took the husband of Ruth, then the first son and then the second son. It was a gradual process and which eventually reduced the person to nothing. But the LORD God can cause a siege to be lifted within hours. In 2 Kings 7:1-11, the bible says that God came to the rescue of the Israelites and broke

the siege of the Syrians that had reduced the city to starvation and caused the women to begin to eat their own children. Stand up on your feet and begin to decree and cry to God to lift every siege against your life IJN.

She was lonely and without a companion because of her problem of issue of blood. Psalms 121:5 says that the Lord is your keeper” In Hebrew 13:5, God promised to be with you and comfort you. Jump to your feet and pray that loneliness should come to an end in Jesus name.

The woman asked God to end her barrenness. She was tired of fruitless efforts in life. Leviticus 23:26; Deut 7:14. Pray that fruitlessness be brought to an end in your life today.

She asked that God should make her whole, not just stop the flow of blood. She asked to be completely healed so that she will not suffer a repeat of the affliction forever again. In Nahum 1:9, the bible says that God will make an utter end of afflictions forever. Pray that you shall never experience the affliction of the enemy again forever.

Conclusion:

Let God alone be your helper. The Bible says in Nahum 1: 7 that “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble”. But there is a condition you must fulfill before you can expect to receive help from God-

First, you must repent of your sins, confess your sins and surrender your life totally to Jesus Christ.

Second you must have faith that Jesus Christ will answer you as you call on him.

Third, you must be part of the family of Jesus Christ; you must actively participate in the living local church- Mark 7: 27; Rev 22:14-15

Finally, you must live a holy life and keep sin at a distance from you- 1 Peter 1:16

CONCLUSION:

SERMON DELIVERED BY PASTOR MRS GOLD OMOGBEHIN ON SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 11, 2016

Body:

In Gen 1:28 God has already prepared the earth, garden, the woman before the blessing came “be fruitful and multiply. The Bible says and God blessed THEM

This morning we want to look at some of the requirement of fruitfulness.

We need at least two or more people. Gen 1: 28, it was God and Adam and his wife. It takes two people to bring forth fruit. Biologically, husband and wife (Gen 1: 28). Spiritually or in ministry (Mark 6: 7) God send out the disciples in two. In business you need a partner to do business with.

seed you need the seed and someone to plant it Gen 26:12.

PRAYERS:

Genesis 1:28, Father, because your word commands that I should multiply and be fruitful, release the grace of fruitfulness into my life Leviticus 26:4, father, I command the land of USA to her increase unto me.

Genesis 17:6-7, Father, according to your word, establish your Everlasting Covenant with me and my children to begin to be exceedingly fruitful in this land and in ministry in the mighty name of Jesus.

Deut 28: 12 and Leviticus 26:4, Father, I command divine abundance in my life that I will always have more than enough resources to sustain me and my family from month to month and year in year out. I shall not lack anything in life.

Psalms 19:1, Father, from today let the heavens declare your glory over my family, my marriage, my career, my ministry and everything in my life

SERMON BY PASTOR FOLORUNSHO NICHOLAS OMOGBEHIN ON THANKSGIVING SERVICE HELD ON NOVEMBER 06, 2016

Topic: The Wonders of Thanksgiving

Text: Psalms 50:14; Ps 95:2; Ps 100:1-4

Introduction: What is wonder? It is defined as an occurrence that is amazing, beyond human understanding and explanation.

What is thanksgiving-it is a debt we owe God. It is being grateful and appreciative of God mercy, kindness and faithful to us. Illustrate with a testimony of life that was turned around-(LK 8:43-48) woman with the issue of blood, (2 Kgs 4:1-7)- woman whose sons were about to be taken into slavery, and my own life of transformation by God.

When you look closely and carefully around you, you must find something in your life and if not, you must see something in another person’s life to give thanks to God.

Reasons for thanksgiving:

It gives Life –Ps 124:1-8 (Verses 7-8 in particular-the hold of the enemy is broken and we have escaped from their evil schemes)

It move God to daily loads us with benefits-Ps 68:19; Ps 105:1-5 (helps, protection, blessings, 5grace, mercy, favor, good health). To forget God’s benefits is to be ungrateful.

It brings promotion and great deliverance- 2 Sam 22:48-50. Illustrate with the story of pastor that was delivered from the hands of ritualists within Lagos metropolis.

It is God’s commandment-Ps 107:2, 8.

It leads to multiplication and increase-John 6:10-14. God shall increase your material possessions as you give Him praise and glory. You shall have more than enough to feed your household and those in need in Jesus name. (Prayer point-God bless me to the overflow to bless the needy around me)

It releases restoration-John 11: 41-44-Lazarus was raised to life and the joy of the family was restored.

Conclusion: Give praise and thanks to God in everything whether good or not so good so that Gods mercy will continue to overshadow you.

Close Alter Call

Prayer Points:

Ps 138:1-2- Father, give me a grateful heart so that all my blessings can continue to flow to me

Ps 139:14- Father, transform my life and let people openly confess that I am a wonder of the work of your hands. (Fearfully and wonderfully made, with God paying attention to every detail of my unique life)

Deut 28:12-Father, bless me to the overflow so I can be a blessing to the needy around me in Jesus name.

Ps 138: 8- Father, by your grace and mercy, let everything concerning my life and future begins to multiply and increase exponentially in Jesus name.

SERMON BY PASTOR MRS. GOLD OMOGBEHIN DELIVERED ON SUNDAY SEPT 18, 2016

Topic: Divine Increase

Text: 2 Kings 4: 2-7

Introduction:

A certain woman had just lost her husband and all of a sudden, her deceased husband creditors came asking for money owed by her husband. Because she was poor and destitute, the creditors wanted to take her two sons into slavery. God knew her situation and positioned the source of her solution around her. The woman realized she was in need of help and took the initiative to go to the source of her help.

In James 2:14-16, God said that faith without works is dead. The woman did not just wait and sat down for the creditors to ruin her destiny and the source of her future –her children. Tell your neighbor, manna no longer falls from heaven. You must rise and exercise your faith in God.

After she obeyed the man of God, Bible says that she was able to pay off her debt, save the lives of her children from slavery and lived to fulfil her days through abundance increase that sustained her for the rest of her life.

Lessons to learn:

She was Working verse 10- (A little sleep, little slumber, little folding of hand -Proverbs 24: 33)

Willing to Give verses 10- (you must each decide in your heart not reluctantly -2 Cor 9: 7)

She was Truthful vs 12- (The integrity of the upright shall guide them –Proverbs 11: 3)

She had something to give verses 12 (Then the Lord asks Moses what do you have in your hand Exodus 4: 2)

She was Faithful verse 13-( Bring ye all the tithes in the storehouse- Malachi 3:10)

She exercised Faith verse 14-(Without faith no man can please God- Hebrews 11:1, 6)

She was Obedient verse- 15 (To obey is better than sacrifice- 1 Samuel 15: 22)

The key to the woman deliverance and increase is her obedience to the instructions of the prophet. God did not give us salvation to put it in our closet. God said we are the light of the world (Matt 5:14-16) and if we are light, that light must shine on the darkness in the lives of others.

In Luke 5:4 and John 21:6, Jesus instructed Peter to cast his fishing net by the side of the boat and the Bible says that Peter net was full of fishes that the net almost broke! Obedience was the key to the increase.

In John 4:35-38, Jesus plainly told the disciples not to waste time by focusing energy on the wrong things of life. Jesus was telling them to emulate His passion and fulfil their number mission assignment-go after the lost souls that need salvation. Jesus walked for miles on foot just to win the soul of the Samaritan woman and through her, the whole villagers of Sychar. Winning souls for Christ is not going to be done when it is convenient, that is why it is called a sacrifice.

Conclusion:

John 4:36, Jesus said there is a reward for those who gather fruit unto life eternal. The Bible in Proverbs 11: 30 call those who win souls into the church wise. God reinforced this truth in Daniel 12: 3 “those that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament and they that turn many to righteousness as the starts for ever and ever”. The wise are those who live for God and do everything they can do to take the Gospel of Jesus to others, not minding whether it convenient or not. God shall not record our names among the foolish and unwise in Jesus name.

Prayer Points:

Ask the lord to use you (if he can use a widow he can use you) Lord use me to feed souls that are hungry and thirsty for you.

Lord help me to recognize the person you have assigned to help me

Lord as I do your work, bless me in all areas of my life.

Lord increase your church

SERMON DELIVERED BY PASTOR MRS. GOLD OMOGBEHIN ON SUNDAY 29 AUGUST 2016

Topic: There is a season for harvest

Text: Gen 26:12-14

Gen. 8:22 states, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” There is a season to sow, however, harvest will come according to its season or as the God of Harvest commanded.  What God said in Gen. 1:28, “Be fruitful, multiply … and have dominion”.

In Matt. 14:13-21, a boy sow two fish and five loaves of bread. When the disciples gave the two fish and five loaves of bread, which was “not enough” to Jesus, He multiplied the fish and loaves to the point that they fed every person there and had twelve baskets leftovers. This is not mere addition, but multiplication.

Prayers:

Stand up on your feet and pray- Father, multiply and increase whatever I have from today that I begin to experience overflow in every areas of my life, family and career IJN. Expect multiplication this season IJN!

The widow in 1 Kings 17, used the little flour and some oil to prepare a meal for Elijah. The widow did as Elijah requested and Elijah ate all that she had. When all she had should have been gone, let’s hear what happened: 1 Kgs 17:16,” And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.”  The God of harvest multiplied her resources and preserved her source of livelihood-flour and oil- so she never experienced lack and poverty again.

Prayer:

The Almighty LORD will visit you this month IJN! As you obey the voice and commandments of the LORD, the Almighty God will preserve you source of livelihood and you will never know poverty and shame.

There are three types of people when discussing harvest:

The first are those that sow nothing and they harvest nothing.

The second category is those that sow little; their harvest is always proportional to what they sow.

The third category is those that sow much and they reap in multiplications.

Brethren, it is important to know that there are forces and powers of darkness that are contending with those in the second category. The Bible states this fact in Matt. 13:25, “But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” According to this text, this man sowed, however, he did not receive a proportional harvest because of the work of the enemy. The result is unprofitable and fruitless hard labor, sweat, unproductivity, discouragement, frustration, sorrow, sadness, failure, shame and disgrace.  Why?  He discovered the enemy has shot a deadly arrow at his harvest. This is why Jesus warned us in Mark 13:35-37 to pray and watch. In other words, we must remain vigilant for our harvest after we had sowed. In 2 Corinthians 2:11, also tells us not to be ignorant of the devil devices so that the enemy do not take advantage of us

Matt. 13:27-28 (NLT), ”The farmer’s workers went to him and said, ‘Sir, the field where you planted that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?” An enemy has done this...’ the farmer exclaimed’.

Prayer: Whatever is contending with your harvest is not of God. You must fight against these enemies. Every arrow of the enemy directed towards the harvest of your sowing shall backfire and their machineries malfunction in Jesus’ name. By the Power of the Holy Ghost, this season the devourer shall be devoured in Jesus’ mighty name. Jer.30:16 (NLT)” But all who devour you will be devoured, and all your enemies will be sent into exile. All who plunder you will be plundered, and all who attack you will be attacked”

The widow in 2 Kings 4:5-6, ”So she did as she was told. Her sons kept bringing jars to her, and she filled one after another. Soon every container filled up. “Bring me another jar,” she said to one of her sons. “There aren’t any more!” he told her. And then the olive oil stopped flowing”

Because the woman obeyed the instructions of the Prophet, God multiplied the little oil she had into abundance that paid off her debt and lived on the rest of the income from the rest of her life. This is a great miracle for those in category three. Can you imagine if she had more vessels to pour into? She gathered vessels according to her faith and in proportion of her image of how big God was to her. Tell me, how do you see and rate God? Harvest is coming to you this month – sow big and you’ll reap exponentially in Jesus name.

 Prayer:

In Judges 6:1-6, the Bible tells the story of the Midianites who will allow the Israelites to sow and weed the farms and do all the hard work and when season of harvest time comes, they will show up and seize all the harvest and destroy all the rest of the crops. This was so bad that the Bible says that the Israelites became very malnourished and had to live in dens and caves in the mountains to hide from this enemy who only shows up when the harvest season arrives.

Jump on your feet and cry aloud:

Father, I will not labor for others to harvest nor build for others to inhabit free and every strange power targeting my harvest, I command you to scatter by fire IJN

Father cause me to sing a new song of good harvest in this month – I will sing, praise you my God for I will receive a hundred fold return on all my seeds IJN

I decree that every evil eye watching my harvest to become blind IJN

Every evil hands pointing at my harvest, I command you to dry up

Father, I decree that any evil mouth speaking against my harvest, be silenced permanently IJMN

Oh earth, earth, I command you to refuse to cooperate with the enemies of my harvest IJN.

I decree and declare that I and the children the Lord has given me shall enjoy the good fruits of our labor and shall leave a legacy of abundance, fruitfulness, and godly blessedness of God’s kingdom for my next generation and be for signs and wonders IJN

Thank the Lord for answered prayers of exponential harvest of souls into the church, divine financial increases and good health to enjoy the fruits of our labor, protection of our families and preservation of our jobs etc.

Thank the Lord for the preservation of our harvest for your glory IJN.

SERMON DELIVERED BY PASTOR FOLORUNSHO NICHOLAS OMOGBEHIN SUNDAY 12 JUNE 2016

Topic: God as a standard

Text: Epsn 4:13-15

God wants us to grow in every areas of life-Phil 6:7; Lk 40:52. Grow in the Word of God and not in useless endeavors that will really not add value to your life.

God should be pleased with our growth-Lk 2:52

Growing up leads a Christian out of carnality into the fullness of maturity-1 Cor 13:11

Growth is mandatory to attain the full impact the Lord had purposed for you to attain in life-Epsn 4:13-15

Growth demands spiritual alertness and wisdom of God. You must know doctrinal errors-2 Tim 2:14-19; Jude 1:3

Growth gives you more spiritual power to do even more than the Lord-John 14:12; 2 Tim 2: 19; Lk 10:19

Growth leads to spiritual purity and restrains you from committing sins, whether knowing or not- Mt 5:48; Heb 13: 20-21; Jn 8: 34; Rom 6:38. We cannot deliberately broke God commandments and think we will not go unpunished. The story of Samson illustrates this point. Samson drank strong drinks, when he was supposed to be a Nazarene from birth; Samson had relationships with harlots when he was supposed to be consecrated and separated unto the tribes of the Levites; Samson eat from the dead body of an animal-eating honey from the carcass of the dead lion-when God expressly forbids him from touching a dead body or eating from the dead animals. And of course, he died with his enemies and suffered plenty shame

and reproach-a slave, his eyes were put out and he was mocked when captured by his enemies.

An important ingredient to have is to let the word of God be in you richly. This means not just enough or adequate knowledge of the words of God or how many scriptures you can quote, but to have the Word richly in you means, having more than an abundance of the full range of the Word of God o the extent that it becomes a living fountain of life that flows and enriches and quench the thirst of other people (Col 3:16).

Requirements:

God expects us to be holy-Lev 2:19

Let the Word of God be your food-Jn 4:32-34

God wants us to love-1 Jn 4:8; Mt 5:19

God wants us to continuously observe His standard-Gen 5: 22-25

God wants us to have absolute trust and faith in Him-Heb 11:6

God demands obedience as Himself is obedient to His words- Isaiah 1: 11; Ps 51:16; 1 Sam 15:22-23; Jn 2:5

God wants you to command Him concerning the works of His hands-Isaiah 45:11

God is hardworking and wants us to be hardworking to bring His promises to us-Jn 5:17 (This is the important reason to know why we must continue to evangelize); Proverbs 22:29

Conclusion:

God will not spare anyone or anything who/ which fail to obey Him- 2 Peter 2:4; Rom 11:17, 21-31; Mark 11:12-25

SERMON BY PASTOR MRS. GOLD FOLORUNSHO ON SUNDAY SEPT 4, 2016

Topic: THE LORD IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED

Text: Psalm 103:1-22.

What is Thanksgiving? It simply means showing gratitude to God for who He is, what He has done, and what He has yet to do. Psalms 105: 8 says that God is mindful to keep His Covenant with you. Numbers 23:19 says God is not a human that He should lie and Malachi 3:6 says that God never changes and Hebrews 13:8 declares that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

You may be saying why do I need to praise and give thanksgiving to the Lord?

It is a commandment from God- 1 Thessalonian 5: 18. It is a duty for any person still alive, regardless of your situation in life.

It is the basis of your for our existence on earth-Ecclesiastics 12:13

It is the key to unlock God blessings for the believer-Jehoshap

For God is good- 1 chronicles 16: 34, Psalms 95: 2-3

The benefits you get when you give thanks and praises to God Almighty.

Thanksgiving brings restoration of joy in place of sadness and hopelessness-Jer 33: 11

Thanksgiving saves life and averts or prevents death and destruction-1 Sam 25: 32-35 because Abigail showed appreciation David spared her life and Nabal her husband

Thanksgiving brings down the glory of God upon your life-I Chronicles

Thanksgiving not only brings increase but multiplication of resources-Luke 9:16

Thanksgiving gives victory and insure all year round protection by God- 2 Chron 20:22 (King Jehoshaphat) 2 Kings 19:35 (God sent an Angel to destroy 185,000 soldiers of the Assyrian army that threatened

King Hezekiah and the people)

Thanksgiving brings about great things in your life- Psalms 126: 3

Jesus forgives all your iniquities aforetime

Jesus redeems your life from destruction- Verse 4

Jesus crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies- Verse 4

Jesus gives righteousness and justice-Verse 6

Brethren, the list can go on and on. No matter how life journey maybe, we can always count our blessings past, present and future knowing that the God we serve is faithful and just to perfect all things that concerns us.

Conclusion: let us determine today to stop complaining about what God has not done for us, but always acknowledge His mercies on our life and the bless HIM for the grace to walk, sit and get up on our own, not laying down in the hospital bed, not homeless, not hungry or begging for food, His protection over the lives of our children etc

Prayer points:

Father, please, forgive me for not acknowledging your mercies and blessing on my life. I ask for the grace to give you praise and thanks in every situation of my life whether it is good or not pleasant in Jesus name.

Father, don’t ever let me be ungrateful to you and people that you had used and will use to bless me in Jesus name.

Father, as I enter the last quarter of the year, thanksgiving and praise shall never cease in my home, marriage, ministry and my life in Jesus name.

RCCG House Of Grace Parish Sermon By Pst Mrs. Gold Omogbehin, July 31, 2016 Month Of Thanksgiving

Topic: Provoking God to act on your behalf.

Text John 4: 24

Our text talks about God as a Spirit which mean he is not a physical being that does things the way human does. He cannot be limited by distance or any circumstance, and he his present everywhere and can be worshiped anywhere. Second, God is truth and we must be genuine in our hearts and actions (genuineness of heart) it has to be whole hearted, praise the God.

This morning through the help of the Holy Spirit the LORD will teach us how to provoke God to act on our behalf. What does it mean to provoke? Explain. You can provoke God in a negative way and experience his anger and displeasure, for example as in Numbers 16: 46-49 when God sent the plague to kill 14700 Israelites for their murmurings against the Lord. Again when the people turned their back on God and began to worship Idols, God sent a foreign ruler to destroy the whole nation and sent into exile and slavery those that survive-Jeremiah 32: 28-30; 39:8-9 or a person refused the several warnings to turn away from sinful lifestyles, God delivered such person into the destruction effect of that sin-Romans 1: 26-28

On the other hand, you can chose to provoke God to respond to you positively and receive his blessings, protection, breakthrough in life, freedom from oppression by the forces of darkness and evil people etc.

What are some of the things that I can do, even though as a believer I may be commanded to do those things in order for me to experience the positive supernatural response of God to me?

Sacrificial giving’s that will make people think you are either crazy or foolish- Solomon’s burnt offering beyond what was expected - 2 chronicles 1: 6-7, In 2 Sam 24:18-25, David had to give sacrificial burnt for the death of plague to stop so that the people can live. In Proverbs 11:24, those who give willingly received more and those who withholds and give according to how they should be given suffer loss

Un common prayer from the depth of your soul-Hannah (2 Samuel 9-19), Jabez – (1 Chronicles 4:10).

Persistence in your approach to God–the Syrophoenician Woman’s (Mark 7: 24 -30) The Parable of the Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1-8)

Determination in your efforts towards God and the things of God. For example, Zacchaeus (Luke 1:10), in Luke 8: 40-42, 50, Jairus despite being the first to approach Jesus for help and the woman with the issue of blood miracle disrupted him, and was then told that his child is dead, Jairus did not give up on God until Jesus attended to him.

Faith- example story of the 12 spies Number 13: 25 -33

Extraordinary praise, dance with all of your might- David (2 Samuel 1: 1, 5, 12, 15, 23) with the result that God blessed David and the city and cursed Michal the only woman recorded in the Bible as barren until her death.

Conclusion:

If only you will be bold enough to provoke with uncommon sacrifices in your service to God, exercise uncommon faith and determination to trust and hold on to God and live in holiness and fear of God in all that you do, it then that you will begin to experience the true blessings of God in your life and family and career.

The Alter call: It is only those who have given their lives to the Lord that can provoke God to respond positively. If you still live in sin, you are an enemy of God and risk his anger if you did not surrender your life to Him Now.

Prayers:

Father, respond positively to my prayers as I give you sacrificial praises and services from today in Jesus name.

Father, don’t ever get angry with me if I offend you; forgive my past unserious attitude towards you and your work.

SERMON DELIVERED ON JAN 23, 2016 BY PASTOR FOLORUNSHO NICHOLAS OMOGBEHIN

Topic: Season of Fruitfulness

Text: Leviticus 26:4

Introduction:

God’s plan for us is to be fruitful and fulfilled. This plan covered every aspect of a believer’s life, ranging from the spiritual to financial prosperity, health and physical security. This fruitfulness is not meant to end with the truly born-again believer, but to extend and transferred to their children forever.

Jeremiah 5:24. God in His eternal plan of fruitfulness had reserved for us the weeks of the seasons of the harvest to satisfy every need, NOT want, in our lives.

What does this plan have?

It is certain-Deut 7:13. God’s plan of fruitfulness is embedded in His Covenant and Promise that cannot be broken (Hebrews 6:13, 18).This Covenant and Promise had been sealed and delivered by the Blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. There is no power in heaven or on the earth that can break, nullify or annul these plans of fruitfulness for you (Matt 28:18).

It has no boundary/or barrier-Deut 28:4. God’s plan of fruitfulness for has no room for barrenness of any type. God possessed the ability, power and authority to make anything dead or decay to spring back to life and flourish. He gives the command and, all creation obeys.

It has no room for barrenness- Deut 32:13. God’s planned season of fruitfulness does not know any barrier and can be experienced even in the hardest of all places. If God can bring water out of a rock (Number 20:11; Isaiah 48:21; I Corinthians 10:4) and make honeycomb out of the carcass of a lion (Judges 14:9) how much more the ROCK (Jesus Christ) out of Who there is everlasting water and life (John 4:14).

It has no off season and has abundance to the overflow- Psalms 1:1-3. God’s plan of fruitfulness has no off-season. It is a continuous circle of blessings, even though there may be temporary breaks. That time of seeming lack of productive is simply, a time of gestation for the manifestation of multiplicity of your breakthrough and progress. In other words, there is no rationing-the 4 lepers and the Syrian army (2

Kings 7:16)

It covers all aspects of life-spiritual and physical- Leviticus 25:18-19. God’s season of fruitfulness also extends to your physical safety and protection at all times and all the year round. Nobody can hurt you or make you afraid (Psalms 91:5-7). The season of fruitfulness include that you live life to the full (Job 5:26).This means that you shall not die before your time and you shall live to see your children and grandchildren (Psalms 118:17).

It keeps the person standing upright- Leviticus 26:13. God’s season of fruitfulness shall keep you standing upright. To walk hunched or bent is a mark of oppression, subjugation and defeat. You shall not bend down before the challenges of your life. You shall not be subjugated by sickness, disease, poverty and sufferings in Jesus’s Name. As you begin to operate in God’s planned season of fruitfulness, God will restore and rebuild every aspect of your life that needs rebuilding and restoration in Jesus’ Name.

Conditions to experience the seasons of fruitfulness:

Stay committed to His Word

Stay away from willful sins and strive to live a perfect life in Christ Jesus

Keep your faith in God

Conclusion:

In Leviticus 26: 3, God expressly gave the condition for anyone that wants to partake in the seasons of fruitfulness He had prepared for mankind. God is a just God and He is faithful to keep His promise. However, all of this fruitfulness can only come about if we walk in His Statues and keep His Commandments to do them (Jeremiah 5:25).If you are not born-again and have not accepted the free gift of salvation of Jesus Christ, you cannot partake, enjoy and sustain these seasons of fruitfulness. If your walk with the LORD is still shaky and haphazard, you may be in the season, but you may not experience the fruitfulness in full and totality. Repent today to experience the fullness of God in your life. Rededicate and commit yourself again to the Lord and see what God will do for you.

Prayer Action Points:

1. Father, today, I repositioned myself to embrace your provisions for me in this season of fruitfulness in Jesus name.

2. Father, help my faith to increase and give me the power over the spirit of unbelief as I go forth this week to receive my portion of your showers of blessings in Jesus’s Name.

3. Father, today, as I open and spread my hands to you, please, fill my life with the good treasures of Heaven in Jesus’s mighty Name.

Jeremiah 5:24. God in His eternal plan of fruitfulness had reserved for us the weeks of the seasons of the harvest to satisfy every need, NOT want, in our

lives.

Deut 28:4. God’s plan of fruitfulness for has no room for barrenness of any type. God possessed the ability, power and authority to make anything dead or decay to spring back to life and flourish. He gives the command and, all creation obeys.

Deut 7:13.

Psalms 1:1-3. God’s plan of fruitfulness has no off-season. It is a continuous circle of blessings, even though there may be temporary breaks. That time of seeming lack of productive is simply, a time of gestation for the manifestation of multiplicity of your breakthrough and progress.

Deut 28:12. God’s plan of the season of fruitfulness is the time when the doors of His good treasure are fully opened to those that believe and ask. As you open up your heart and mind to Him (Psalms 145:15), God eagerly responds because God’s eyes are ever on you to do you good (Jeremiah 29:11).

Leviticus 26:4-9. God has prepared the land to yield its fruitfulness to us in every aspect of our life and (Ezekiel 34:26) there be showers of blessings that cannot be missed as we look expectantly to the Almighty Creator for our sustenance and breakthrough.

Deut 32:13. God’s planned season of fruitfulness does not know any barrier and can be experienced even in the hardest of all places. If God can bring water out of a rock (Number 20:11; Isaiah 48:21;

I Corinthians 10:4) and make honeycomb out of the carcass of a lion (Judges 14:9) how much more the ROCK (Jesus Christ) out of Who there is everlasting water and life (John 4:14).

Genesis 22:17. God’s planned season of fruitfulness is such that you shall be blessed not only within your surroundings but the blessings will be so much that it will extend to you possessing the gates of your enemies. This means

that people that do not wish you well will become subdued because your influence and power will overwhelms them. The gate symbolizes protection and power and God’s plan is for you to render your enemies subservient and submissive to you. From today, you will rule over your enemies in Jesus’ Name. God even confirmed this aspect of your season of fruitfulness when God declared in Psalms 105:24 that He will “make you fruitful and stronger than your enemies”.

Leviticus 25:18-19.

Leviticus 26:13.

Topic: Ungratefulness of men towards God

Text: Numbers 11:5-6

Introduction: A brief recap of Israel’s captivity and slavery in Egypt and their release by God. Shortly after the LORD rescued the people of Israel from the oppression and slavery of Egypt, and were witnesses to the miracle of the crossing of the Red Sea and the destruction of the pursuing Egyptian armies that perished in the sea, they became quickly ungrateful. They were quick to forget the daily beatings, mental abuse and lashes, and oppression of the Egyptian task masters. Because of temporary one day hunger in the wilderness on their way to the Promised Land of Canaan, they began to look back affectionately to Egypt, completely forgetting the perishing bread and fish of Egypt. The same food they had eaten for decades that did not profit them. In their rebellion and ungratefulness, they despised and loathed the Manna, the food provided by the Almighty God that is capable of sustain their lives. How often do we despise what the LORD did for us in the past? (Numbers 11:1) But God reminds us to keep in remembrance His many mercies and blessings in our lives (Psalms 90:12).

The behavior of the Israelites demonstrates what a person whose heart is not right with God is capable of doing. Faced with temporary challenges of life, Christ, a type of the Manna quickly becomes distasteful and irritating. Nourishment is sought in the poisonous alternatives offered by the world which holds such people in bondage that turns to it, as was symbolized by Egypt. (Gal 3:1-5; 5:1). Will you forget the blessings of God in your life and return to the world seeking a comfort that is elusive?

The people not only complained about God’s provision and protection for them throughout their journey in the wilderness but even questioned the wisdom of God for setting them free from Egypt! They said “why came we forth out of Egypt?” (Numbers 11: 20)

The people not only rebelled, but they also made Moses, their leader, to almost doubt the power of God to provide for their needs. (Numbers 11:21-23). A husband, frustrated by coworkers in the office, a failing business can cause his wife and children to sin against God. How, because he is no longer a mirror of what God stands for and then trouble ensures and gradually, the interest of his family in god begins to decline. Let us be careful.

Because of their rebellion and desire to return to the bondage for which they had been held for over 430 years, the Almighty God granted them their request for meat. But, it was at a great cost to them because they questioned the wisdom of God. God killed some of them while the meat was yet in their mouth (Numbers 11:33).

What to do:

Believe God in all situations so that you can succeed and prosper (2 Chronicles 20:20).

Do not be part of the mixed multitudes that usually complains about everything not

working in their lives and circumstances ( 2 Corinthians 6:17)

Let the words of Jesus Christ dwells richly in you (Psalms 119:105).

Conclusion: Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free and be not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage (Gal 5:1). If we ever gets hungry for bread, eat the eternal bread that was given to us from heaven (John 6:51, 57-58) and repent from every acts of unbelief, disobedience and rebellion against the word of the Almighty God (Psalms 51:9-10; Isaiah 43:25).

Prayer Points:

Lord Jesus, my God and Father, do not allow me to go back to the bondage of my past life from which you have rescued me in Jesus name (Psalms 121:3).

Lord Jesus, my God and Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, keep me from the poisonous alternatives that the world offers and, feed me with the spiritual manna from Heaven, the word of the risen LORD, Jesus Christ (John 6:27, 35)

Lord Jesus, my God and Father, help me to remember daily, your blessings in my life and give me the heart of thanksgiving in Jesus name (Psalms 119: 93, 103).

Lord Jesus, my God and Father, in my foolishness, please, pardon my sins and do not let your wrath, judgement and punishment fall upon me in your anger (Psalms 25:11).

Lord Jesus, my God and Father, in the midst of the rebellion of people around me or in my family or at my job, please, do not let me be misled to doubt your power to provide for my needs- Numbers 11: 21-23

Topic: Like Father Like Son: The Power Of Substitution

Text: Jeremiah 31:29

Introduction:

Gen 20:1-2-Abraham sets the stage by lying and not relying completely on God who called him.

Gen 26: 1, 7; 8-Isaac repeated the same lie when faced with similar situation

The application:

In some families, certain sinful characteristics are evident and ironically, people are proud of them-stealing, delayed marriage, unexplainable difficulties and challenges of life, death at certain age, delayed child bearing, recurrent missed opportunities for breakthrough, hard life, destructive anger, taking hasty and costly decisions, attacks in the sleep and continuous troubled dreams etc.

The cause and connection: Ezekiel 16:4-5

The uncut navel is the source of live of the sinful, un-generated natural man

The filthy state of our existence-unwashed, un-salted to bring out our natural fragrance and remove the odious smell that attracts and attaches you to the sinful inclinations.

Not swaddled or clothed to cover the filthiness of your existence.

The uncut navel and unwashed person is left exposed to the mercy of the elements and powers of the forces of darkness and loathed/disdained/scorned.

The effects:

Jeremiah 48:11 shows no REAL progress can be made when the navel remains spiritually un-cut

Jeremiah 31:29-30- the effects of the un-cut navel and the iniquity of the parents shall no longer hold.

Jesus Christ, The solution:

Zechariah 11: 12-13-The Price Jesus paid for the substitution to free us from the evil spiritual navel

Ezekiel 16:6-The Lord says Live and not die

Jeremiah 31:31; John 11:25- The new covenant- Jesus Christ –that separates us from the past life and connects to the new eternal life.

Hebrews 8:6- Jesus, the mediator of the new Covenant

What to do:

You must make the conscious decision to accept unconditionally the offer of salvation and the price Jesus paid for you and renounce your sins

You must openly renounce every evil life style, connection and ancestral covenants or agreements made by you or made on your behalf by friends and parents.

You must strive to live a holy lifestyle-

You must pray fervently for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to give you the power to live a righteous life

Prayer Points:

Psalms 121:1-2-our help does not come from man, self-help, government institutions or ancestral beliefs and practices

Isaiah 60: 1-arise and separate from your ancestral navel and then you can begin to shine

Isaiah 62: 1- father do not rest on my case until I am totally set free from the effects of the spiritual navel of my past and present life.

Isaiah 62: 8-Father, stop the enemies from wasting my efforts, my blessings and breakthrough in in life in the name of Jesus Christ.

SERMON BY FOLORUNSHO NICHOLAS OMOGBEHIN ON SUNDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 2015

Topic: The Mystery of Captivity

Text: Psalms 126:1-6

What does it mean to be held captive?

Restrained, constrained to a particular place, denied access to your rights, blessings, freedom, happiness and glory, oppressed and abused and in spiritual bondage and ultimately a slave of the captor.

Types of captivity:

Those in the school of ignorance-Hosea 4:6 (my people perish for lack of knowledge). People don’t even know they are in captivity-drug and alcoholic addicts and those who oppose the gift of salvation of Jesus Christ.

Those that are aware of being held captive, but had become insensitive and indifferent. They no longer had the feelings of being held in captivity and therefore of the need to be free.

Failure on a continuous basis in every aspect of life and acceptance of such as normal

Fear-Judges 6:2-The Israelites lived in fear of the Midianites

Confusion-2 Corinthians 4:4- They live in constant state of confusion and indecision of life (1 Kg 18:21) as demonstrated in the battle between Elijah and Jezebel and the people of Israel.

Wastage-Judges 6:3-4

Perverse lifestyle-Gen 18:20. Sodom and Gomorrah and the present day inordinate pursuit of materialism

The assurance of deliverance from captivity:

Ps 68: 18-Jesus broke the power of Satan by going down into the earth for 3 days

Lk: 4:18 Jesus came purposely to set the captives free from the control of all

evil forces on earth

Isaiah 49: 24-26-The LORD declares His willingness to rescue the captive, even where it was lawful as well their generation and take vengeance on the captors.

Conclusion: The LORD will deliver you from all spiritual and physical captivity in the name of Jesus. Every power of darkness covering your understanding shall be uprooted and destroyed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Prayer points:

Psalms 121:1-2- Lord Jesus Christ, my God and my Father, I look up to you for help, answer me today in Jesus name.

Isaiah 60: 1- Lord Jesus Christ, my God and my Father, I arise out of any spiritual captivity and your glory shine upon me in Jesus name

Isaiah 60:11- Lord Jesus Christ, my God and my Father, from today, as I begin to shine in your glory, let my gates be open and men and women continuously come to bless me with their gifts and let my life be turned around for good in Jesus name.

Isaiah 62:1, 3, 8- Lord Jesus Christ, my God and my Father, do not rest until you make me great; a royal diadem in your hand and; my blessings you will not give to another person (verse 8).

Topic: Cross Your Jordan River into 2016

Text: Joshua 3:14-17

Bible Reading: Genesis 15: 8; 17: 7-8; and in Jos 1:2-4

Introduction:

As the year comes to an end, people become apprehensive of how the year will end and what the new year will impact their lives. For some families and individuals, the year has not been as they had planned, but they are not worse off either. For another category of families, the outgoing year has been rough, tough and difficult one, yet they survived it and they do not know what the coming year will bring. For other people, it does not even make any difference what the old year or New Year may bring to them. This category of people does not anticipate any form of blessings from God.

What happens when you are about to cross your Jordan into your blessings?

God replaces your fear from your mind with courage and boldness of heart. God knows that fear cripples a person faced with seeming insurmountable challenge of life. In Isaiah 41:10, God said fear not and reassured us of His presence. In Jos 4:14-15, the Ark of the Covenant symbolized the power of God that Joshua and the people the confidence to face the Jordan River. The LORD shall arise and step into the midst of your challenges and those problems shall dissolve before you in Jesus name. Zephaniah 3:7; Ps 46:5

God clears the obstacle before you. In Isaiah 45:2 and Ps 107:16 (God said he will break in pieces the gates of brass and cut in sunder the bars of iron). This was exactly what God did in Jos 4: 16-17. The Ark of the Covenant cleared every obstacle standing in the way of the people to possess their inheritance-the Jordan River as an obstacle was removed. The LORD shall go before you to remove every obstacle in 2016 in Jesus name

God provides His Presence to give guidance as you pass through your Jordan River to the other side. In Psalms 23:4 (God said that though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear

no evil) God knows that within the process, we still need His guidance and assistance because the road can be rough and unpredictable. In Jos 4:17, the people went across on dry ground before the Ark of the Covenant, and LORD stood to provide guidance and assurance on their two sides. The abiding presence of the LORD will be with you all year round in the name of Jesus. Zechariah 2:5

Five things must happen to your life when you cross your Jordan

Living without a clear direction for life comes to an end. (Numbers 32:13 recorded 40 years of wanderings in the wilderness). God ended the wanderings in the wilderness and gave the people a clear vision and hope of their future and the life of opportunities that lies ahead of them.

The Shame and reproach of living in the wilderness was rolled away and buried beneath the waters of the Jordan River forever (Jos 4:9). All the years after the people left Egypt, they were mocked as they move from one place to another in search of their permanent place of rest in the land of Canaan (Numbers 14: 33).

Unbelief will be replaced by faith in God. The life of the people was characterized by unbelief and constant disobedience to the LORD (Numbers 14:22). Faith and obedience to the instructions of the LORD opened the way to their blessings and prosperity as they entered Canaan. Instead of complaining about the instructions given to them as they constantly did in the wilderness, the people trusted the LORD and to deliver on His PROMISE to bring them into their possession starting with the conquest of the City of Jericho (Jos 12:22).

The LORD will provide you total and all round protection from the enemy (Jos 4: 11). After the people and the armed warriors had passed over the Jordan onto the other side, then the Ark of the Covenant followed behind to ensure total protection for the people as they go in to possess the land of Canaan. As humans, we can only see what is on our left, right and front. No man can walk forward and constantly be looking backward at the same time. That fellow will either miss-step and fall or such a fellow will be marking time and not make any real progress. In Isaiah 52:12; 58:8, God bridged this gap and provided a 360 degree all round protection- I prophesy to you that throughout 2016, the LORD Himself shall watch your back.

God gives you permanent life of victory over your enemies and the

challenges of life-(Luke 10:19;1 Corinthians 15:57), Christ gave us the authority and power over all the power of the enemy

What are the things that we can point to in the past and even now that the Almighty God whom you came tonight to worship and praise can do in the life of a person? What are the antecedents of the Almighty God?

God can raise the dead back to life-John 11: 43 (Lazarus); Luke 7:11-17(the only son of a widow) ; 1 Corinthians 15: 4 (Jesus Himself). God is Almighty, he can kill and make alive (Deut 32:39)

God can set at liberty all those that are held captive by the forces of darkness and evil-(Isaiah 49:24; Job 14:14, 19:25). Every addiction that is contrary to God promise for your life shall be destroyed tonight in Jesus name.

God can restore everything the enemy has taken from you- 2 Kings 8:1-6 the Shunamite widow was given back her property that was seized for over 7 years

God can make the childless woman a mother of nations- Gen 17:16 (Sarah); Psalms 113:9

God can cure the incurable disease and sicknesses-the greatest physician on earth and in heaven- Luke 8: 43-48-woman with issue of blood for 12 years.

God can change the life of a person destined for destitution, poverty and death in prison to that of a position of power and ruler in a foreign land- joseph (Gen 41:14, 40-45) Daniel (Dan 6:1-2, 28) and Mordecai (Esther 8: 1-2)

God is always ready to defend His children and those who love obey Him-Ps 14-15 and His anger burns against those who want to do you harm –Ps 105:16.

God can give you a rich, full and satisfying life in place of penury and destitution-(John 10:10)

Conclusion:

After the people crossed the Jordan River, before God delivered city of Jericho into their hands and before they could begin to possess the land and the blessings of God, they had to be circumcised. This is the condition for obtaining and benefitting from the blessings of God. (Gen 17:10-11; John 3:3). What is that must be circumcised in your life? What do you need to turn away from in order to release the floodgates of blessings of God upon your life? Begin to ask the LORD for mercy and forgiveness in Jesus name.

SERMON DELIVERED BY PASTOR FOLORUNSHO NICHOLAS OMOGBEHIN ON 04 JUL 2015

Topic: Divine Assistance

Text: “And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” Gen 21:19

Introduction: Hagar and her infant son Ishmael were in desperate need of water and food to survive. Hagar had exhausted all her resources and not knowing what to do next, had given up all hope and wished for death. Suddenly, God appeared to her and showed her the solution to her problem

Hagar was sent away and wandered in the wilderness of life-verse 14

But God had a plan for her and Ishmael so that God’s purpose for his life may be fulfilled-verse-13. God will fulfill his purpose concerning you today in Jesus name.

Hagar became frustrated, confused and desperate when she ran out of food and water-verse 15-16. In the midst of our journey we must rely on the Lord for our sustenance both physical and spiritual. The Lord will strengthen you as you journey through life to enter into your inheritance.

Hagar’s eyes were blinded to the well close by where she was sitting. Two reasons could be responsible for this: focusing on the problems of life can make us lose sight of the immediate solutions that may be just beside us. Second, God may have closed Hagar’s eyes so that she can give attention to the greater plan of God for her and her son- 17-18

Hagar’s received assistance and assurance for herself and the son. I pray that today, whatever is covering your eyes to the solution to your problem, God shall remove that covering in Jesus name. You will not have to look far and beyond your immediate environment to discover your breakthrough. God solved the immediate problem of thirst.

God reassured Hagar’s and her son of His plans and promises to make him a great nation on the earth. This was before the problem of thirst was satisfied so that she does not lose sight of the bigger picture of God’s plan. I decree in the name of Jesus Christ, that God shall give you assurance concerning your future to consolidate your blessings.

Conclusion:

The call and prayer that God will remain faithful to His promise and God is the engineer of our destiny and life course.

TOPIC: A Vision And Purpose For Living

TEXT: Jeremiah 11: 1-3, Amos: 7:8; 8: 2

INTRODUCTION: God asked Jeremiah and Amos what do they see as they lift up their faces and looked? When God was about to confirm His covenant of blessing with Abraham, He asked Him the same question. (Genesis 14:14-18)

WHAT DOES GOD WANT US TO DO?

Habakkuk 2:2: Write down your vision, dreams and goals, set a deadline and focus on achieving and run with it. God that gives you the dream will bring it to pass.

Also, God wants us to see clearly and will do anything to remove any obstructions that cloud our eyes–Mark 8:23-25. I pray that you will see great and mighty success in your future in Jesus name.

WHAT ARE THE OBSTACLES TO ACHIEVING THE SET VISIONS?

Procrastination, Laziness, Doubt, Fear and unbelief, lack of determination and courage and listening to voices of defeat instead of the assuring words of God.

HOW CAN WE OVERCOME THESE OBSTACLES?

Isaiah 45:2. God assured us of His assistance to pursue and accomplish the vision. How? By preparing the way and removing all possible obstacles ahead of time.

Isaiah 45: 3 God provides the resources required to accomplish the vision/dreams /goal. These resources can be wisdom, unique idea, money and people positioned around us.

Matt 28:18. God has given us all authority and power to accomplish the vision/dream/goal.

CONCLUSION: Stay focused on your God given vision, ideas and dream and don’t be deterred (Hebrew 12:2) and inundate your thoughts with the power of the word of God (Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:23) and live by the power of the mind of Christ ( 2 Timothy 1:7).

SERMON DELIVERED BY PST. FOLORUNSHO OMOGBEHIN SUNDAY ON 18 OCTOBER, 2015.

Topic: Ungratefulness of men towards God

Text: Numbers 11:5-6

Introduction: A brief recap of Israel’s captivity and slavery in Egypt and their release by God.

Body: Shortly after the LORD rescued the people of Israel from the oppression and slavery of Egypt, and were witnesses to the miracle of the crossing of the Red Sea and the destruction of the pursuing Egyptian armies that perished in the sea, they became quickly ungrateful.

(Numbers 11:21-

Do not be part of the mixed multitudes that usually complains about everything not working in their lives and circumstances ( 2 Corinthians 6:17)

Father, do not allow me to go back to the bondage of my past life from which you have rescued me in Jesus name (Psalms 121:3).

Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, keep me from the poisonous alternatives that the world offers and, feed me with the spiritual manna from Heaven, the word of the risen LORD, Jesus Christ (John 6:27, 35)

Father, help me to remember daily, your blessings in my life and give me the heart of thanksgiving in Jesus name (Psalms 119: 93, 103).

Father, in my foolishness, please, pardon my sins and do not let your wrath, judgement and punishment fall upon me in your anger (Psalms 25:11).

Father, in the midst of the rebellion of people around me or in my

family or at my job, please, do not let me be misled to doubt your power to provide for my needs- Numbers 11: 21-23

WELCOME TO  DECEMBER, THE MONTH OF DIVINE GRACE TO FINISH WELL

“ For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place.  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” Jeremiah 29:10-11

The Almighty God is ever watchful and faithful to His promises made to those who trust, hope and believe in Him. The LORD declared that rather than His Word and Promise He made to those who serve and worship Him to fail, the entire earth will pass away instead (Matthew 24:35). Therefore, God, having sealed those promises He made to us since the beginning of the year 2015 through the Blood of the New Covenant in Jesus Christ,  this last month of December 2015 will serve as the crowning of all our efforts, prayers and dedicated service to the work of the kingdom of God. The Almighty God will release all our blessings, close and crown the year 2015 with supernatural, jaw dropping breakthroughs in every area of our lives in Jesus name, Amen.

In Psalms 146:16, God said His hands will be opened towards you because at God right hand is pleasures for evermore. In other words, the hand of God is full of divine health, protection, financial and material blessings, power to remain free from satanic oppression and captivity, poverty, life of struggling, spiritual superiority over all the powers of the enemy and for those seeking to have children of their home to insure marriage harmony and peace, the hands of God are full of children and ready to release them to you before the end of 2015.

In Deuteronomy 28:12, we have the testimony that the “LORD will open to you His good treasure”. It means that, in the treasure chamber of God; there are all kinds of good things that will satisfy whatever need you may have. Furthermore, in the same verse, God declared that He will “bless all the work of your hand”. I pray that as God has kept us alive until the last lap of the 2015 race, you shall experience the divine move of God in your life in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer Action Point:

  1. Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I receive all of my blessings that are remaining in the year 2015 in Jesus name (Psalms 28:7)
  2. Father, as I run this last lap of the months of the year, fill me with your divine strength and grace to finish well in the name of Jesus, amen (2 Timothy 1:12; 4:7).
  3. Father, I thank you in advance for all my lost and delayed blessings that You will release to me and my family in Jesus name, amen (John 11:42)

WELCOME TO NOVEMBER, THE MONTH OF DIVINE FULFILMENT OF GOD’S PROMISES

WELCOME TO OCTOBER, THE MONTH OF DIVINE HEALING

“…for I am the LORD Who heals you.” Exodus 15:26b

The Bible records that part of our LORD Jesus mission was to heal the redeemed of all their sicknesses and disease. The healing was to be both physical, but primarily, spiritual. Spiritual healing of the soul and spirit of man takes precedence over the physical infirmities. No wonder, every person ever physically touched and healed by Jesus Christ, was first, in the spiritual realm identified and slated for healing. The physical healings were always preceded by Jesus spiritual engagements with the fellow. Jesus does not just approach some individual who is need of healing just for the fun of it. Whereas, some other people approached Jesus to heal them, Jesus in other instances initiated the engagement. For example, the lame and paralytic man at the pool of Bethesda had been lying there seeking for healing for over 38 years. Jesus knew who he was and had settled the matter with God the Father spiritually before ever approaching him physically. This encounter with Jesus dramatically changed the life of the man (John 5:5-9). This month the LORD will seek you out, find you and heal you of your diseases, both spiritually and physically in the Jesus name.

It is not just our physical body that is in need of the touch of the LORD God for healings, but every aspect of the life of man, especially, those who had been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ. When Elisha and the people with him got to the city of Jericho, behold the land was barren and the waters positioned, even though, the city itself from external appearance seems flourishing and pleasant, but inside, the source of life of the city was dead. So, when Elisha spoke the Word, a type of Jesus Christ, to the waters, it was completely healed and the people truly began to live life (2 Kings 2: 21-22). The Lord shall heal every unpleasant situations of your life in Jesus name.

You are encouraged today to put your healing needs in the hands of the Almighty God, the true physician that has all the body parts of man in His storeroom in Heaven. The only true God that can perfect your health through our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ, who had already sacrificed and substituted His perfect healthy body and life for your sinful and mortal body. As it is written, “by His stripes, you were healed” (Isaiah 53:5; I Peter 2:24).

When the woman who had been sick and stinking because of her unstoppable menstrual flow for twelve years reached out to Jesus, touching the hem of the Healer garment, she got healed instantly. Before this encounter, she had become bankrupt searching for healing and solution to her sickness from the hands of numerous doctors and traditional herbalist (Matthews 9: 20-22). God visit you this month that you will be able to reach to Him and receive your divine healings in Jesus name.

Have you been going from one doctor to another, from one referral in a medical facility to another in search of healing? Have you almost expended all your resources on medications and medical treatments to the point where you are almost bankrupt? Will you trust God for your healing just like the woman with the flow of blood did?

Welcome to September, Our month of permanent VICTORY.

“So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” John 19:30

For three and half years, our LORD Jesus prayed, fasted, preached and worked tirelessly to fulfill His mission on earth-the Redemption of mankind from the grip of the law, death and Hell. Despite the opposition waged against Jesus, both by the powers of darkness and the religious rulers, Jesus remained focused on His assignment. He maintained a very close relationship with God, the Father, consulting and receiving instructions on everything and every step He takes. No wonder, the powers of darkness were always amazed, astonished and frustrated when all their plans to stop our Lord failed miserably. Your enemies will continue to fail in their evil plans against your life in Jesus name.

The word of God advised that as you press ahead to achieve your dreams and fulfill destiny, you should not be weak or weary in the face of what appears to be unrelenting oppositions and challenges (Proverbs 24:10). After you have done all that God asked you to do, God Himself will make you strong and prosperous (I Peter 5:10; Ephesians 4:16). God’s promise of victory is sure to come to pass. Because He is the Almighty God of yesterday, today and forever, God stands by His word to you (Joshua 1:8-9). Jesus has fought the war and won and handed over the victory to us. In the scripture quoted above, Jesus said, “it is finished”.

Is there anything too hard for God to do? Because, Nehemiah completed his work successfully, despite the opposition, you too succeed in your work in Jesus name. David was persecuted for more than 13 years after God, through the Prophet Samuel anointed him King of Israel. Yet, King David was established in his throne. Mordecai, the uncle of Queen Esther was repeatedly scorned and schemed against by Haman; yet, he too prevailed and became victorious at last. When Isaac was in search of water for his flocks and household in the land of Canaan, and the philistine repeatedly closed every well he dug until, they gave up the fight against him, so too shall your enemies be frustrated in Jesus name.

Faced with insurmountable array of enemies, King Jehoshaphat of Israel only needs to shout for God to hand over victory over the three Kings of Ammon, Moab and the people of Mount Seir and their over 32,000 foot soldiers. Joshua and the people also only needed to shout for God to bring down the wall of Jericho that stood against their breakthrough and blessing. As you open your mouth to shout in praise of God this week, God shall break down every barriers standing against your peace, joy and inheritance and God shall bring you into your blessings in Jesus name. The victory is assured. All you need to do is take your rest in the LORD, stand still and see the salvation of your God in Jesus name.

WORD OF THE WEEK- 18 OCT, 2015

“We remember the fish which we ate freely in Egypt, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic; but now our whole being is dried up; there is nothing at all except this manna before our eyes!” Number 11:5-6, NKJV

WORD OF THE WEEK-SEPTEMBER 27, 2015

The Faith to Conquer

“So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the Children of Israel and the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin King of Canaan”. Judges 4: 23-24

The children of Israel, as descendants of Abraham were promised by God Almighty, that they will inherit the land of Canaan, promised to them through the irreversible Covenant of God with Abraham. However, the enemy will not sit still to allow this to happen and so waged war against the people, putting to test, the faithfulness of God in their lives. Moved by the Spirit of God, the people were encouraged to fight and they did prevail and had a permanent victory over their enemies Jabin that had oppressed them for over twenty years. I decree that the oppression of the enemy in any area of your life shall be over thrown today in Jesus name. Will you have faith to enter into permanent victory or will you doubt the word of God and remain outside of the blessings of God already prepared for you, even before you were born?

You may wonder why it took twenty years before the people could summon courage to fight and break the yoke of Jabin? The answer lies in the following facts. First, the people got carried away by temporary riches and comforts of life, forgetting the source of their existence-God, the Almighty. I pray that you will not be deceived by temporary riches and pleasure of life in Jesus name. Second, the people had turned their backs on God and worshipped idols, contrary to the Covenant God made with their forefathers, Abraham. Thus, in the process they incurred the wrath and anger of God and set in motion the application of the just punishment of the Law of God. I pray that you will not bring the judgement of God upon your head and your family through idol worship and disobedience to God in Jesus name. Finally, tired of the unbearable pains and discomfort of oppression, the people cried out to God for help. And because of the unbreakable promises of God’s Covenant with Abraham, God responded to them in mercy and rescued their lives from the hands of their enemy. God shall respond to you this week as you genuinely cry to Him in Jesus name. Because the Almighty God is a good and kind God, He had promised through the mouth of the Prophet Isaiah, “fear thou not; for I am with you: be not dismayed; for I am your God: I will strengthen you; yea, I will help you; yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10). These are the affirmative declarations of God to you. Believe the Words of God and enjoy permanent victorious living in Jesus name.

Again, I ask you: Will you have faith to enter into permanent victory or will you doubt the word of God and remain outside of the blessings of God already prepared for you, even before you were born?

Prayer Action Point:

  1. Father, do not let your blessings in my life and the victories you had given me over those who hate me, separate me from you in Jesus name- Proverbs 30:8-9
  2. Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I remain engrafted and permanently attached to your life so that I remain in permanent victory and fruitfulness in Jesus name-John 15:5; Rom 11:16.
  3. Father, please, give me the faith to believe your revealed Word and your true servants of God as well as the courage to take the necessary steps to obtain victory and possess my inheritance in this new season of change in Jesus name, amen-Romans 10:17.

WORD OF THE WEEK-SEPT 20, 2015

The Building was completed.

“So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days”-Nehemiah 6:15.

Building on our theme for the month of September “Permanent Victory”, this word of the week focuses on the inevitability of God’s ever present help when our adversary rises against us. Nehemiah, burdened by the word of God and his consummate desire for the good of his people (Neh 1:2, 4-5), lead him to the decision to rise up to the challenge to roll back the shame and reproach that had be fallen his people, little did he know the intensity of the opposition he was going to face from the hands of the enemies of his plan and destiny.

The journey from exile and captivity in Babylon to Jerusalem started off very well. Nehemiah through God received favor from the King Artaxerxes of Babylon, modern day Iraq. The King not only granted his wish to return to Jerusalem to build the wall, but also went further to grant him the resources that Nehemiah needed as well as the armies to provide a safe corridor to get to Jerusalem. I decree upon your life from today, as you make your plans for progress, God shall move men and women to bless you with resources that will help you to execute such plans in Jesus name. On getting to Jerusalem, however, Nehemiah was suddenly faced with a bitter opposition by Tobias, Samballat and Geshem, sworn enemies of the people of God. Through ridicule (Neh 2:19; 4:3) deception and trickery (Neh 6: 2-4) intimidation and blackmail (Neh 6: 5-7), hostility (Neh 4:7-8) and threat of physical harm, Sanballat tried to abort the plans of Nehemiah to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Tobias, Sanballat and Geshem even tried to use one of the Prophetess to trap Nehemiah (Neh 6:10). But all of the efforts failed woefully. I decree that from today, every plans of the enemy of your life to hinder you shall fail in Jesus name. Two factors were responsible for Nehemiah eventual success: First, Nehemiah relied completely on God for help, advice and strength (Neh 1:6; 4:4-5; 6:14). No matter what situation you may face, you must resist the temptation to resort to self-help and friends without first consulting with and seeking the face of God. God is ever mindful of his Promise never to abandon you. (Deuteronomy 31:6). Second, Nehemiah eschewed or did not condone sin and oppression (Neh 5:6-9). The Bible states clearly that God will turn His ears and eyes away from the abominable wicked person (Proverbs 28:9), therefore, make holiness your life style and as far as possible, run away from all appearances of sin that may turn you into an enemy of God.  As the head of Tobias, Sanballat and Geshem  hung down in shame when the walls were completed, so shall your enemies be cast down in shame as you succeed in Jesus name (Neh 6:16).

Prayer Action Points:

  1. Father, I receive the power of a sound mind and not fear in Jesus name-2 Timothy 1:7.
  2. Father, frustrate all the plans of the enemies of my life in Jesus name-Job 5:12, Psalms 33:10.
  3. Father, I received the grace and anointing of the Holy Spirit to finish every projects and plans of my hands from this today in Jesus name- Psalms 90:17, Hebrews 12:12.

Word of the Week: September 13, 2015

Look up to Heaven for Success

“So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.” Exodus 2: 12

In the mind of God before we were conceived, God has specially prepared a destiny for each person. In the process of working out your destiny, the enemy is always at work to hinder the manifestation of the glory of God in your life. No person is exempt from this process, not even Jesus Christ. (Matt 4:1-11). Most times, a person’s presumptuous behavior can help the enemy to thwart, delay or accelerate the manifestations of God promises. The decision taken at that point in time can make or mar your destiny. When you get to the cross road of life where you need to take a decision, you must remember to take a deep breath, think deeply and turn all our attention to the Almighty God for direction. Because the Bible declared that the wisest among humankind is foolish in comparison to the wisdom of God. We are finite human is limited by geography and time. But the Almighty is never constrained by time and space. Because this is your season to move into your greatness, you will not abort the plan of God by your actions in Jesus name.

Most people, like Moses, think that they can help God to solve the problems of life confronting them. Moses thought that he can get justice for the oppressed before God commissioned him for the job. Moved by his feelings, he killed the Egyptian and became a murderer on the run for his life, a fugitive in a foreign land for forty solid years before the time God appointed for him to take up that role of the deliverer and leader of the people of Israel. Even the people he thought he was helping were the very people that accused him of murder and exposed his evil deed. The Bible says, that Moses looked here and there, making sure that no one is aware of what he is about to do. He was greatly mistaken. Yes, he looked to his left, right, sideways, back and around. Yet, he failed to look to where it matters most- UP, the throne of God in heaven for advice. No wonder David, having experienced persecutions and personal mistakes and failures in life, recognized the importance of looking up to God for all his actions and decisions. David declared in Psalms 5:3, that “My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up”.

This week, as you go about your daily business, you shall receive the grace to look up to God for direction before you act in Jesus Name. Your actions will not bring you pain and sorrow and turn you into a fugitive on the run. From today, I pray that you shall not make the wrong choice again in Jesus name. Those who you try to help will not turn against you. Your love for others will not turn into a curse and regret in Jesus name.

Prayer Action Point:

  1. Father, as I stand at the cross road of taking a decision, I receive the power of the Holy Spirit to wait on you and hear from you in Jesus name. Psalms 121:1
  2. Father, preserve my life from all evil and my going out and coming in so that I occupy the place of honor that you have prepared for me in Jesus name. Psalms 121:7
  3. Father, because, this is my season of honor, greatness and breakthrough, I will not use my hands to derail my destiny or abort your blessings for life in Jesus name. Hebrews 6:14; Psalms 71:21

Word of the Week: Sept 06, 2015

Like Father, Like Son: The Power of Substitution

“And the men of the place asked about his wife. And he said, “She is my sister”; for he was afraid to say, “She is my wife,” because he thought, “lest the men of the place kill me for Rebekah, because she is beautiful to behold.” Genesis 26:7

In Genesis 12:10-13, Abraham was faced with a situation where he either exercises faith in God to provide for him or give in to fear and then bring ridicule upon his faith. He chose to fear, rather than trust in the Almighty God. Similarly, Isaac did the same thing when he too was faced with exactly the same situation-temporary famine and challenge of life. There are some negative traits that run in the bloodline of people, even of believers, that the enemy can use to bring reproach upon the life of such a fellow. We have heard people say that stealing runs in so and so family. In others, the women never get married and if they do, they die childless or the marriage ends in divorce. Yet, in others, the men die at certain age etc. From today, any negative lineage or bloodline behavior that you are experiencing, I decree such to be terminated in Jesus name. You shall not carry evil attachments and loads with you for the rest of this year.

To break this lineage curse and be free from such negative things happening in your life and to ensure that such do not pass on to your children, you must embrace the New Covenant made possible through the blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. The New Covenant has the power to set you free from every generational, lineage or bloodline evil curses and afflictions. God says in John 1:12 that “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name”.  In the New Covenant are deliverance, protection, healing, breakthrough and purposeful living made possible by the Blood of Jesus Christ. I pray that from today, you shall begin to experience the peace and freedom in Jesus Christ and those unexplainable mishaps in your life are gone forever in Jesus name.

Prayer Action Point:

  1. Ezekiel 16:4-6. Father, by the fire and power of the Holy Spirit, I cut off every umbilical cord connecting me to any evil family or lineage attachments in Jesus name.
  2. Father, I am washed by the Blood of Jesus and I live and shall not die of disgrace, sickness, sufferings and oppression of the enemy in Jesus name.
  3. Father, your mercy shall rest on me so that everywhere I go, people shall see your glory upon my life in Jesus name.

AUGUST OUR MONTH OF DIVINE HELP

“And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, “On this condition I will make a covenant with you that I may put out all your right eyes, and bring reproach on all Israel.” 1 Samuel 11:2

August is our month of Divine Help. The Almighty God is our ever present help in times of troubles. God has promised not to leave you nor forsake you in the face of the enemy onslaught and intimidations. You shall not be a prey to your enemies. From today, God in His infinite mercies will give you help in every direction you may turn. You will overrun your challenges and be victorious. This month of August is the expiration date for the enemies in your life. Your enemy shall be totally discomfited before you and you shall enjoy the rest of the month in peace in Jesus name, Amen.

In the Bible passage quoted above, the enemy is represented by the wicked king of the Ammonites who did not just want to destroy the Israelites, but wanted to perpetuate their slavery and disgrace for generations to come. The enemy did not just demand for their submission, but their total domination and control by taking away their ability to see the direction which their lives may take. When a man is blind, he is practically at the mercy of others around him. When a whole people are made blind by plucking out their eyes, they and the generation to come after them are totally helpless and at the mercy of the oppressor. This is the height of wickedness and cruelty! The enemy will not touch nor quench your source of light in Jesus name. I prophesy to your life that from today, when the enemy makes a demand on your life, you shall receive the courage to take your stand and resist in Jesus name.

The enemy can come in the form of chronic sickness, consuming all your savings as you go from doctor to another in search of cure like the woman with the issue of blood (Luke 8:43-48).The enemy can be drug addiction, wreaking havoc on your health and destiny. It could be lack of promotion at your job, causing you to stagnate while others are getting promoted. It could be marital troubles causing unnecessary crisis and confusion in your home, denying you the peace to enjoy your marriage. This enemy can also come in the form of oppression in your sleep, causing you to wake up with cold sweats most times of the night. I prophesy to you that from tonight, you shall dream sweet dreams and sleep peacefully in Jesus name. In whatever form this enemy had given you an ultimatum to surrender to its power and domination, today, you will receive help to defeat the enemy. You will not negotiate with the enemy. You shall take your stand and fight and defeat them in Jesus name.

The people of Jabesh –Gilead realized that they cannot take on the enemy alone. They were desperate for help. They appealed to the people of God and God provided them enough time for help to get to them. The Bible states in 1 Sam 11:9And they said to the messengers who came, “Thus you shall say to the men of Jabesh Gilead: ‘Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you shall have help.’”  God will confuse your enemy to give you time to call and get help in Jesus name. And when help came, the Ammonites were completely destroyed that no two of them were left standing together. God shall give you total victory over every challenges standing against your life and it shall be permanent in Jesus might name, amen.

Go forward in the strength, power, might and grace of God and you shall testify of His goodness in Jesus name.

Word of Week for August 30, 2015

“Since you were precious in My sight, You have been honored, And I have loved you;

Therefore I will give men for you, And people for your life. Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west. Isaiah 43:4-5”

Of all the creations of God on earth, none was more carefully made than humankind. In fact, none of God’s creation was ever made by hand, except man. Moreover, none of the creations has the type of life that man has: God breathed His own life into man, that is, before the fall. Without any doubt, God affirmed this truth and the special place we occupy in His mind by declaring that you are precious in His sight. You shall remain precious in the eyes of God and nothing shall take your place before God in Jesus name.

To be precious is to be carefully thought of and given special care. Anything that is considered precious is given more than ordinary attention. Great care is taken to ensure that no harm comes to such. We all, as human know how to take care of worldly things that we consider precious to us such as cars, jewelry and expensive cloths we bought. Yet, all of that is nothing compared to how God rates us in His eyes. God said in Isaiah 49: 16 that “I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands”. This confirms the special focus that God has on you. Every day a, every minute, God watches over you to make sure no harm comes to you. Because of the special place we occupy in the mind of God, God further made three more declarations to assure you of His commitment to your welfare and peace. One, God declared to you ahead of time the need to fully trust Him in the times of difficulties. God said, do not fear. God knew that as your faith grows gradually, the enemy like a roaring loin would want to harass you and make you give up on your destiny. God says to you today, that you shall have the victory in Jesus name. Second, God says He shall give people for your life. What does that means? It means that, where men may secretly gather to plot evil against your life, God will turn their evil plans on their heads. If they dig a grave for you, they shall be fall into it and be consumed. If they set traps for, they themselves shall fall in those traps in Jesus name. Finally, God said that in any part of the country or earth where your breakthrough and blessings are being held back, they will begin to be released to you from this week in Jesus name. If God can command the birds to carry out His instructions, which person can resist the commandment of the Almighty God? I pray and decree upon your today, that wherever your blessings are being held in any of the four corners of the earth, they begin to locate you in Jesus name.

Until next week remain steadfast in your faith in God and go forth to possess your possession in Jesus name, amen.

PRAYERS ACTION POINT:

  1. John 20:22-Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I receive my inheritance today in Jesus name
  2. John 15:5- Father, let my life begin to be fruitful from today. Because you have placed me in your palms, I shall not fall off. I remain engrafted in you forever and in Jesus name.
  3. Father, my warfare has ended as you promised and I begin to enjoy my peace and blessings in Jesus name.

WORD OF THE WEEK: AUGUST16, 2015

God Has Positioned A Helper For You.

“Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you.” I Kings 17:98-9

There is always a lesson that God wants you to learn in every situation that challenges your very existence in life. Yes, there will always be challenges of life to overcome as you pass through difficult times. In this story of the widow of Zarephath and the Prophet Elijah, there are four lessons to learn from this story. First, God has a purpose for you, even in your worst of life situations. The real test is: will you have the faith and resilience to recognize and accept it?

Second, although, everyone is affected by the prevailing bad situation, God has a special focus on you (Luke 4:26). Will you allow the frustrations and desperation of the moment to cloud your mind and blind your eyes when God’s help arrives? I pray that you will not miss your blessings in Jesus Name. You will not fall into the deception of unbelief and turn away from God’s help. I cover your mind with the Blood of Jesus Christ. The third and fourth lessons are the keys to the woman’s breakthrough.

Third, the widow did not just sit down at home and resign to fate. She got out of her home and went out to gather sticks outside of the gate of the city, (1 Kings 17:10) a place where every manner of people mix and opportunities abound. She could have stopped at a nearby bush or confine her search to her immediate neighborhood. The city gate is the place where God had prepared for your help and blessing (2 Kings 7:1). I decree upon your life that as you go about your business this week, God will meet with you and give you the help you need to overcome your life challenges in Jesus name.

Fourth, the widow had the faith to share what she and her son have with the prophet even though that was all she had to survive on. At this point, being selfish and uncaring towards others in similar bad situations does not help. It is in sharing what little we have that God moves on your behalf to provide increase (Proverbs 11:24.) share the love of God to others even where it does not make sense to you.

Prayer Action Point

Father, I receive faith today to see and embrace the person you have prepared to help me in Jesus Name.

Father, when your revelation on how my problems will be solved is given to me in your Word, I will not operate in the spirit of unbelief and I shall not miss out of my blessings in Jesus Name (2 Kings 7:17.)

Father, this week, I receive the power of the Holy Spirit to be kind and loving and to share with other people the love of Jesus Christ. I cover myself and my family with the Blood of Jesus Christ. I shall not miss out of your plans for my life in Jesus Name, Amen.

Believe, exercise the power of faith and receive your miracle and breakthrough this week in Jesus Name. Until next week, go forth and prosper in Jesus Name, Amen.

WORD OF THE WEEK 09 AUG 2015

When You Consult God

“Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the Lord, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them? Judges 1:1

When we are faced with the challenges of life, there are only two choices before us: turn to God or seek help from men. At this time in the life of the people of Israel, they were smart enough to seek help from God. They did not rely on their military strength alone. They consulted God for help first and they were guaranteed success because God is faithful to keep His promises (Genesis 17:7).

From today, when you cry to God for help, God shall answer you quickly. You shall turn the tide against every enemy that has been a thorn in your flesh. Every challenge that had held back your glory and breakthrough, the LORD will uproot them in Jesus Name.

After God gave the assurance, the people became bold and courageous to go down and fight against their enemies that had tormented them for years and prevented them from enjoying in peace, the blessing God had reserved for them. In Judges 1:7, the Bible gave us a picture of what the true Christian shall do to their enemies when God is consulted and are ready to act against the enemy. But Adoni-bezek fled; and they pursued after him, and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his great toes”. From today, you shall cut off the thumbs and toes of the problems in your life in Jesus name. Why the Bible does specifically mentions the thumb and the toes? Without the thumb, the hand does not have a firm grip on whatever it holds. Therefore, sickness, affliction, poverty and oppression of the devils shall no longer have a grip on you in Jesus name. When the two great toes of a man’s leg are cut, they lose their balance and ability to run after you or to stand in battle against you. I decree today that, the LORD shall cut off the toes of your enemies and every challenge facing you become crippled in Jesus name.

God reminded us of the need for complete obedience in order to enjoy the fullness of our blessings. In Judges 1:28, the Bible states “And it came to pass, when Israel was strong, that they put the Canaanites to tribute and did not utterly drive them out.” After the victory was won, you ought to take great care to obey completely the commandment of God. This is necessary for your success to be complete and the defeat of the enemy total, without any chance for them to re-group and come back to fight against you. No wonder, some Christians only enjoy a temporary reprieve from sickness, troubles and failures, poverty and demonic oppressions because they did not completely obey the instructions of God to totally destroy the enemies plaguing their lives by living a holy and sanctified life. Instead of throwing out sickness completely, they allow it to co-inhabit with them by living a lifestyle of sin that does not please God. The Bible says to separate you from sin and the wicked ways of the world. Most Christians seek to conform to the ways of the world and in the process; they compromise their godly values and become corrupted by the world.

PRAYER ACTION POINT

1 Samuel 5:3-4. Father, I receive the power to cut-off the hands and heads of every spiritual power of the devils fighting against my life in Jesus Name.

Psalms 18: 34-36. Father, make my hands strong and to prevail against my enemies, including sickness, stagnation and spiritual oppressors in Jesus Name.

Father, give me a heart that completely trust and obey your commandments so that I can enjoy your blessings in peace from today in Jesus Name.

WORD OF THE WEEK: 02 AUGUST 2015

God Will Send You Help

“Now Ben-Hadad the king of Syria gathered all his forces together; thirty-two kings were with him, with horses and chariots. And he went up and besieged Samaria, and made war against it. Then he sent messengers into the city to Ahab king of Israel, and said to him, “Thus says Ben-Hadad:  ‘Your silver and your gold are mine; your loveliest wives and children are mine.’”1 Kings 20: 1-3

The enemies never want you to enjoy the fruits of your labors. When you think that it’s time for you to take a rest, they suddenly show up to rock your boat and cause confusion and fear in your life. The enemy is always watching. The enemy does not mind its own business; it is always seeking ways to trouble you. Imagine, someone asking you to not just surrender your hard earned salary at the end of the month and all the money and property you may have, but your wife and children too! Ah, God will smash your enemy’s mouth this week in Jesus name.

When enemies like this rise against you, you must summon all the courage that Heaven can offer you to stand your ground and don’t give in to the demands. Just as the King of Israel relied, so also must you remind the enemy that you are not powerless! Because God is forever faithful, the Lord will never allow the enemy to destroy His people. When you think you are overwhelmed with the threats of the enemy and fear and doubt creeps into your heart, God will send someone to you to strengthen your resolve and you must be prepared to lead the charge against the enemy with the help of the host of the armies of the Almighty God of Heaven (1 Kings 20: 13-14).

God will confuse your enemy in their arrogance and cause them to make strategic mistake in the plans against you. When the time of confrontation comes, God will deliver your enemy into your hands and you will overcome and defeat them in Jesus name. As King Ahab defeated his enemies, whether the enemy is in the form of sickness, barrenness of any type, oppression through lack of spiritual strength in your sleep, unexplained financial difficulties and lack of ability to secure or keep a job, I pray and decreed that this week is their expiration date in your life in Jesus name.

Until next week, go and reign in dominion and prosperity this week in Jesus name.

Action Prayer Point:

Psalms 3:7; 58:6

Father, I receive your help today to defeat every challenge hindering my life in Jesus a name. My Father and my God, cause my enemies to continue to make strategic and tactical mistakes that will lead to their defeat in Jesus name.

PASTOR’S WELCOME MESSAGE FOR THE MONTH OF JULY 2015:

Welcome to July 2015, the month of Divine Consolidation in your personal life. Last month was the month of supernatural breakthrough wherein the Spirit of Jesus assisted us to accomplish our goals, not only only in our place in the service of God, and the Church, but in our physical needs as we begin to live a life of fruitfulness and prosperity. My prayers this month is that God will empower you to consolidate on your successes. You will not stagnate or retrogress in the second half of 2015. Everywhere you go, God’s grace and favor shall speak and open more doors of blessings for you. God shall give you permanent victory and success. The Bible says that there is a rest remaining for the people of God to enter. You shall enter into that rest that God through Jesus Christ had prepared for you.You shall cease from a life of toiling and labouring. Where other people are experiencing failures, the LORD will favour you to increase and prosper. For the remaing half of the year 2015, you shall enjoy the labour of your hands and eat of the good of the land in Jesus name. This month of July, I decree in the name of Jesus Christ, that you shall begin to experience divine consolidation in every area of your life-marriage, relationships, finances and above all, your spiritual life will soar like the eagle in your worship and love for God. Rejoice, because the Lord, your God is with you, always, even until the end of the age, amen.

Until next month, reign and dominate your environment.

WORD OF THE WEEK: 26 JULY 2015

You shall dispossess your enemy of their weapons and kill them with it.

“And he slew an Egyptian, a goodly man: and the Egyptian had a spear in his hand; but he went down to him with a staff, and plucked the spear out of the Egyptian's hand, and slew him with his own spear.” 2 Samuel 23:21

The enemy has all kinds of weapons and armor to fight against the people of God. In this Bible passage, this Egyptian mercenary who was hired by the Philistines to fight against the people of Israel had a deadly weapon in his hand. Where the enemy could not directly fight against you, they will hire others to do the dirty work. Like Jezebel, the enemy will hire wicked men to falsely accuse you of things you did not do. Because the Bible says that the wicked will be slayed by his own wicked devices (Psalms 9:16), you shall not be a victim of the weapons and intrigues of the enemy in Jesus name.

But, Benaiah, with the help of the Holy Spirit went down against him and took the spear from his hands and killed him with it. The actions of this man signify courage and determination not to be defeated and killed. I challenge you this week, if you will trust in the power of God; you shall take from the hands of your enemies their weapons and destroy them with it. I prophesied unto you that the supernatural power of God will come into your spirit and soul, even while you are asleep that you shall destroy those that seek to kill you in Jesus name. Because this month is the month of consolidation of your breakthrough and deliverance, with God on your side, you shall turn the tide against every challenges standing before you in Jesus name.

Until next week, remain steadfast in your faith in Jesus Christ and keep your spiritual fire burning.

PRAYER ACTION POINT:

My LORD and God, from today, I receive the ability and power to stand against every enemy of my life, take away from their hands their weapons that is being used to fight me and I destroy them without mercy in Jesus name. Because the Bible says that I should not allow the witch to live, my Father God, I receive the courage to destroy every obstacle that may stand against my blessings and breakthrough in Jesus name.

WORD OF THE WEEK: 19 JULY 2015

You shall stand your ground before your enemy and prevail.

“ And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David, when they defied the Philistines that were there gathered together to battle, and the men of Israel were gone away...He arose, and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand clave unto the sword: and the Lord wrought a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to spoil.” 2 Samuel 23:9-10

The Philistines constantly wage war against the people of Israel, always trying to destroy them. During one of the battles, the men of Israel fled before the enemy, but one man, Eleazar stood his ground and refused to run away. He refused to be intimidated by the enemy. If God be on our side and more importantly, if you are on the side of God, there is no mountain that you cannot climb; there is no obstacle that you cannot overcome.

The Bible said that Eleazar rose and smote the enemies until his hand clave to his sword. He took action. He did not sit to complain about the challenges. He took courage and fought with the weapon God placed in his hand. I prophesied you today that you shall arise with the weapons of God in your hands and destroy every obstacles and any enemy that comes against you. You shall afflict them with the fire of God until they are all destroyed before you in Jesus name. With the help of God, Eleazar defeated the enemy and took over their goods and wealth and the land.

The victory was so great that he alone could not take all the goods, cattle’s, sheep’s and houses of the enemy. He had so great a blessing that he had to share the blessings of the victory with all the people.  I prophesied unto you that this week, if you have faith and take courage in God and believe in the ability of the Holy Spirit to fight for you, you shall defeat your enemies and overcome every problem challenging your destiny. Your victory will be so great that you will not only possess the wealth of the land, but you shall have abundance to share the blessing with your family and other people around you.

Until next week, remain steadfast in your faith in Jesus Christ and keep your spiritual fire burning.

PRAYER ACTION POINT:

Father, please place your weapon of war in my hands to strike the enemies that may stand against your promises and blessings in my life. Give me the strength and power to hold on to the  weapons of war that while I fight against the enemies, my weapons of war will not fall from my hands until I have totally destroyed my enemies and every obstacles and possess the blessings of the land in Jesus name, amen.

WORD OF THE WEEK: 12 July, 2015

You must get your inheritance among the people of the land.

“When they had made an end of dividing the land for inheritance by their coasts, the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Nun among them” Joshua 19:49

Before they could divide the land, it took the people consistent faith in God to stay the course of the battle in the face of the determination of their enemies to destroy them. The challenge was enormous, but Joshua stood with God. He did not faint nor was he afraid. He pressed on with the fight. After Joshua had defeated all the enemies and won the battles, he and the people inherited the lands that GOD had promised them by the mouth of Moses. The battles were won despite the times of self-doubt, struggles and weaknesses arising from setbacks in the hands of the enemies. But God was faithful to His Promise to provide a permanent home for the people.

I challenge you today to stay the course. Stand with the Almighty God as you fight the battles of life and you shall have the victory and consolidate your breakthrough. As the battle axe head in the hands of God, the Almighty shall use you to deliver your family, our marriage and business from the hands of those who hate you in Jesus name. In your workplace, you shall defeat your adversaries and possess their position in Jesus name.

The Bible passage also stated that Joshua got his own inheritance among the people. No matter how long the struggle may last and how hard the enemy may try to stop you, God is able and willing to bring you into your inheritance without further delay. Because it is your month of divine consolidation of your breakthrough, you will get all the rewards, promotion and blessings that are due to you. Your labors of love and contributions wherever you may be working will never be forgotten in Jesus name.

Until next week, remain steadfast in your faith in Jesus Christ and keep your spiritual fire burning.

PRAYER ACTION POINT:

Oh Lord, my God and Father, I receive the power and the grace to get my blessings this week in the name of Jesus. All the people I have helped in the past and present will not speak against my life, but they shall take steps to speak favorably about me and give everything that I am entitled in my office, in my business and my family in Jesus name. Wherever men will gather to allocate and share the blessings of this land, I will be allocated my share in Jesus name. I shall not miss out of the blessings of this year in Jesus name.

WORD OF THE WEEK: 05 JULY 2014

The difficult times are over.

“Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” I Kings 18:41

For three years, there was drought or famine in the land. That time was full of distress, pains, hunger, hopelessness, death and destruction in the land. The people had lost all hope of survival. No one knows where help will come from. Suddenly, God appeared on the scene. God sent His messenger to proclaim the end of the famine. I pray today that the difficult issue of your life has come to end in the name of Jesus.

God gave the sound of abundance of rain as evidence to the people for the end of the drought. The sound of abundance of rain was given, not that rain had started to fall. There is the need therefore to believe the evidence, no matter how unconvincing that evidence may be. God showed the evidence and Elijah had to pray down the rain. So must you work hard on the evidence that God is about to solve the problem.

As God gave the sound of abundance of rain as evidence to the people for the end of the drought, so shall you see the evidence of the solution to your problem this week in the name of Jesus Christ. God will show you the signs and confirm it and you shall jump and shout for joy because suddenly shall God respond in your favor.

I therefore decree and declare that where you have suffered career stagnation; there shall be sudden promotion for you. Where there have been struggles to provide for your household, God shall surprise you with favor from people you don’t even know. As God poured down rain in abundance, so will the Lord overwhelm you with blessings. In every areas of your life where you have suffered spiritual drought, God will revive them. I pray that God will prepare you to receive and retain the fullness of His blessings as He turns around your situation in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

PRAYER FOR THE WEEK: 05 July 2015

“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” Gen 21:19

Hagar and her infant son Ishmael were in desperate need of water and food to survive. Hagar had exhausted all her resources and not knowing what to do next, had given up all hope and wished for death. Suddenly, God appeared to her and showed her the solution to her problem. Hagar’s eyes had been blinded to the well of water near where she had been sitting.

I pray that today, whatever is covering your eyes to the solution to your problem, God shall remove that covering in Jesus name. You will not have to look far and beyond your immediate environment to discover your breakthrough. Also, God not only solved her immediate problem of thirst, but reassured her of God’s promises for her and her son in the future. I decree in the name of Jesus Christ, that God shall give you assurance concerning your future to consolidate your blessings.

Until next week, remain steadfast in your faith in Jesus Christ and keep your spiritual fire burning.

WORD OF THE WEEK: 28 JUNE 2015

The Mercy of God Will Find You.

“When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” John 5:6-8

It is the last week of the month of June and there are lots of expectations still to be fulfilled. As the Lord met with the man by the pool of Bethsaida and delivered him from hopelessness, desperation, stagnation and a life of dependency on other people, so shall the Lord meet with you these last days of June and you will receive your miracle. Even when the crippled man did not recognize the visitation of the Lord, the mercy of God will still prevailed. Will you also give excuses and complain about your circumstances, rather than seize the opportunity for your breakthrough as the Lord will provide you? Think about it!!!

PRAYER FOR THE WEEK: 28 JUNE 2015

“So the three mighty warriors broke through the Philistine lines, drew water from the well near the gate of Bethlehem and carried it back to David”. 2 Samuel 23:16

This is the last week of the month of June 2015. God is never too early or too late. He answers just at the right time because He is Omnipotent, all knowing Almighty God. Do not fret or worry, God will come through for you. As many as may not have received their breakthrough,

I pray that as those men broke through to accomplish their mission, so shall you breakthrough into your victory this week in Jesus name. As those men crossed every barrier and overcame the dangers along the road to their success, so shall God protect you in all the ways you will take to achieve success. The enemy shall not stop you. God shall put the enemy to sleep while you pass through their territory into your victory in the name of Jesus Christ, amen. Believe. Keep the faith.

Until next week, remain under the shadow and protection of the Almighty God.

WORD OF THE WEEK: 21 JUNE, 2015.

You Shall Shout For Joy Sooner, Rather Than Later.

“Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters. Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, nor let not the pit shut her mouth upon me. Hear me, O Lord; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies. And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.” Psalm 69:14-17.

In life, everyone is faced with one challenging situation or the other. The actions we take have repercussions and sometimes, it is not of our making. However, as we struggle with this problem, it is more important that we focus on how to get out successfully without getting destroyed in the process. When we fall sick, we desire to get heal quickly. When we are in financial distress, we want quick resolution to settle our debts. When our marriage is troubled and our home is no longer a place of rest, peace and happiness, we look for ways of restoring our marital relationship and avoid things that will worsen the situation.

If you are in any of these situation, as the Psalmist prayed, so I pray that God will deliver you from your difficult situations. You shall not be overwhelmed and consumed by your problems. The Lord will rescue you from the secret works of the enemies and your challenges will not frustrate you to give up. The Almighty God shall stretch down His hand from Heaven and pull you out of your troubles in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

PRAYER OF THE WEEK: 21 JUNE, 2015.

Oh God, do not let my problems destroy my life. Do not give me up into the hands of those who hate me. Because you are a God of mercy, save me from my problems in Jesus name. I decree that before the end of this week, God will show up for you and give you victory. God will no longer turn His face away from your cries; the Lord will stretch down his hands and pull you up. God will not allow the pit to close up on you and the Lord will hurry to come to your rescue in the name of Jesus Christ.

Until next week, remain under the shadow and protection of the Almighty God.

WORD FOR THE WEEK: 14 JUNE, 2015

You will receive divine solution for your breakthrough

"And he said to him, “Look now, there is in this city a man of God, and he is an honorable man; all that he says surely comes to pass. So let us go there; perhaps he can show us the way that we should go.” 1 Samuel 9:6

Saul was sent on an errand by his father to look for a lost animal, a source of the family’s income and wealth. Along the journey, he became tired and discouraged and almost gave up the search. However, his servant encouraged him to seek divine help. But like most people, Saul looked at his present conditions of inadequacies and lack of resources as he was being pointed to the solution to the problem. However, having being persuaded to give God a try, little did Saul know that the encounter with Samuel-a type of Jesus Christ- will change his life forever! As you embark of life journey this second week, will you stop to look at your inadequacies, stop giving excuses and follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit? Will you listen to the voice of Jesus Christ as He speaks to you through other people in your search for solutions to life’s issues and give Jesus a chance? If Saul had remained adamant and stubborn, he may have missed his supernatural breakthrough. Think about it!

PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK: 14 JUNE 2015.

Your problem shall lead you to your success.

I make a declaration on your life today that as the life of Saul was transformed by his encounter with God and so shall your life be transformed this week as you go before God in prayers. The issues and challenges that has been a problem before you will lead you into your breakthrough as you obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. I pray that the spirit of doubt and discouragement be banished from your heart and mind from today in the Jesus name. God shall bring you into your supernatural breakthrough this week in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Until next week, remain blessed in Jesus name, Amen.

WORD FOR THE WEEK: 01-07 JUNE 2015.

“Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God”

"It shall come about when the soles of the feet of the priests who carry the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, rest in the waters of the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan will be cut off, and the waters which are flowing down from above will stand in one heap." Joshua 3:14.

As the Priest that carried the Ark of the Covenant, a type of Christ stepped into the banks of the Jordan River, and the waters were separated for them to pass through to possess their blessings, so shall it be for you if you will allow Jesus Christ to lead the way for you in all your battles of life. This verse states clearly, that the waters fled before the Ark of the Covenant, not the people. The difficulties of lives and your challenges will run away as you hide behind the name and power of Jesus Christ from this day, not your accomplishments, reputation or connections. Remember, Jesus Christ is Lord of lords and King of kings. He has secured the victory over all the powers of the enemies of your life. Therefore, go in this knowledge and assurance this week, cross every obstacle and possess your inheritance and blessings in Jesus name, Amen.

WORD OF THE WEEK 31 MAY 2015

"Faith comes by hearing and, hearing by the Word of God"

“They were from nations about which the LORD had told the Israelite, "You must not intermarry with them, because they will surely turn your hearts after their gods." Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love.” I Kings 11:12.

God knew the temptations and dangers we face after our conversion to Christ by the allures of the unbelieving world. To ensure  that we are not drawn back into the captivity of sin, judgment and separation from the protective love of God, we must take steps to avoid those lifestyles that can compromise our faith and walk with God. We must learn from the life of King Solomon who lost the purpose of God for his life when he adopted the lifestyles of the many foreign wives he married and forsook the righteous ways of God. Do you compromise your Christian lifestyle just to please your friends? Think about it.

WORD FOR THE WEEK 24 MAY 2015:

"Faith comes by hearing and, hearing by the Word of God"

The word of the LORD came to me saying, “what do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said, “I see a rod of an almond tree.” Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, What seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.” Jeremiah 1:11.

What you see and how you interpret it goes a long way in shaping your vision for the future and purpose of your existence in this life. I pray that the LORD will open your mind of understanding and show you greater things to come as you put your trust in Jesus Christ.

WORD FOR THE WEEK OF 17 MAY 2015

“Faith comes by hearing and, hearing by the Word of God”

“And the LORD asks Moses, what is that in your hands?” Exodus 4:2.

Like Moses, we often do not see those things the Almighty God had endowed us with. We often focus on our short comings and our inability to resolve a challenge that confronts us. In response to our cries or complaints as people of God, the Almighty may ask you the same question He asked Moses. And if we are sensitive enough to His questions, we may finally realize that the solution to the problem we may be facing us is right in our hands. So, what skills, talents and expertise do you have that you can use to contribute to the growth of the church? Don’t remain on the fence, it’s time to act. Think about it!
